  • Presumably. If you're cooking them in water that is. But then again, if noodles are plumper when cooked it would be a different ratio. Maybe try search another brand with similar calorie per serving counts?
  • YAY! It's good to see my weight loss goal is among the average! And I weighed today and I am three pounds down already! 3 down, 40 to go!
  • I kinda have this, but I also (and more annoyingly) have a friend/ boss that "just wants me to eat more". O_O I mean, what am I supposed to do with that?! She knows I'm trying to lose weight and nags me when I don't eat enough for her definitions of meals. UGH. Mostly, my other friends are okay. My last boss was jealous,…
  • ^ Agreed! It's in the same mindset people use Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers - why pay money for something you can do for free? If you need the support, that's why MFP is here! :)
  • To keep myself sane, once a week - every Sunday. I will "spot check" if I am feeling nervous usually on Wednesdays or somewhere in between.

  • I graduated from college spring of '10, but I am 23. 5'5 and currently at 222 from a shaming 247. Feel free to add me too!
  • Treadmill. It's my base exercise and perfect for any and all times of the month. ;)
  • Wow, this is so good to know! Thank you so much, ladies!!
  • Oh... haha... I know how that is... *eyeroll at the insanity that is film*
  • I was a creative writing major. So naturally I ended up in film. I just got out of a long-standing office intern for a film production company and now am working as a freelance casting assistant.
  • I got a BIKE! Okay, so it's a very cute and stylish bike. It's pink and white with fenders, but it does have seven speeds! Okay, so I admit I haven't ridden a bike since I was about 8 and I was kinda bad at it then (I could get on, ride, but stopping was something I never quite grasped) but I am determined to do it. My…
  • Oh.... that is so awkward...
  • Yes. Absolutely. I hate guessing on stuff like that. I think ALL restaurants should. Even non-chain places.
  • Wow! Thanks guys!! I mean I have doctor's appts at times, but at clinics (usually when I need a flu prescription) - so all my little check ups are done there. My blood pressure has always been great (thank the steady use of the treadmill since I was 13 - no really!) as for thyroid, etc. my mom has all of those problems…
  • Some kind of dessert. Most likely cookies.
  • This isn't scientific or anything, but it's a suggestion that has worked for me (and still is). For a day (or two) ignore your diet. Go out to eat with friends, just DON'T think about it. Yeah, I usually gain like a pound or two back in food weight, but it kinda jump starts your body, so when you go back to eating less,…

  • I've actually been wondering this for some time! I'm finding myself more aware of clothing (now that they have begun to shrink a bit) and I am very glad to see this posted! I would guess that it's a mental acceptance of everything. I feel like shopping will be a pain when I drag five different sizes to a dressing room, but…
  • I am with you. Not big on breakfast. However, I try to eat something. I usually grab a banana and a Starbucks Double Shot. It's small, but there is espresso involved. LOVE IT. Some of my friends argue "that isn't breakfast" but hey, to each their own!
  • Well, I haven't lost over 100 lbs *YET* but I am certainly planning on doing it! I've lost 18 so far and have about 110 to go! I can't answer your staying motivated question, cause I am wondering the same thing myself! But I firmly believe it CAN and WILL be done! You can friend me if you like! :)
  • I did it. Being anorexic isn't just about being bone-skinny. I was overweight, but consuming less than 500 calories a day. I was dizzy, always freezing, had wicked heartburn and deep black dark circles beneath my eyes. And yet I was overweight. And more than that, it's a mindset, a way of thinking. An obsessive, crazed…
