I LOVE Zumba! Keep at it, you will definitely get it. Everyone has given you some great advice and remember, everyone was new once and had to learn the steps just like you. It's definitely a workout and it's fun!!! All the best to you!

I'm 51 and have lost 51 lbs in 11 months. I'm glad you started this thread, thank you! It helps me to see that there are more women in our age group on MFP than I knew and our stories are very similar. It's been a long slow process but I just keep plugging away. I try to work out at least 5-6 days a week. Started off just…

I thought the same thing when I started using my FT7 that my calorie burns were way too low. But as it's been said many times before, I would rather have an underestimation of calories burned than an overestimation. I was really messed up by the fact that people were posting that they had burned 800, 900 and even 1000…

Hello! I'm 51 and am learning each and every day that this is a lifestyle change. If I can help in any way, please feel free to send me a message. Welcome!

Another possible downside is that if you're doing the same thing each week, your body will most likely get used to it and you might not see any results. At least that's what happens to me. I have to change it up every couple of months. Other than that, it's all good!

You have done a fabulous job! I don't know you but I'm proud of you! Keep up the great work!

I have the Polar FT7 and my daughter has the FT4. We both love ours!

I have both the FitBit and the Polar FT7 HRM. I love them both because they do different things. However, if I had to choose, it would be the FitBit because like a lot of others have said, you can wear it all the time. Ultimately they are both great tools to have. I got my FitBit first then later added the HRM. Hope this…

Yes, Fiber One bars do that to me also but the worst product for me is the Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. It really gets me going! LOL!!!

Love, love, love Leslie Sansone DVD's. Great for beginner to intermediate levels of exercise and some of them are good for even higher intensity cardio.

From what I have learned, there is nothing that 100% accurately measures calorie burn. However, I have both the Fitbit and the Polar FT7 and I have found that their calorie estimates are pretty much right on the money when I do workouts such as Zumba and Kickboxing, etc. MFP calorie estimates tend to be much higher than…

You're doing great! Keep up the great work!!!

I, personally, would prefer to be called "Black American". To use the term "African American" denotes (to me) that I was born in African and then became an American which is not true. I have never even been to Africa and therefore, am not African American. My ancestors were, indeed, Africans who became Americans. Just my 2…

I'll bet that you were great at leading that song, too! You rock for that!!!

Thanks everybody. I changed it.

Anybody?

Feel free to add me if you wish. I've actually lost 50 lbs but my ticker only reflects what I've lost since being on MFP. I still have a ways to go so we can support each other. All the best to you on your journey.

I make guacamole. Had some yesterday. YUM!!!

I had one on the inner side of my wrist. It eventually went away on it's own and never came back.

I'm right there with you! I was in 18/20's and now my 16's are getting loose. I will be trying on the 14's soon! Congrats to you! I know it's an awesome feeling and accomplishment.. Keep up the great work!

Let's not forget there are women's sizes and misses sizes. I am 5'7" and weigh 222 and can wear 16 misses pants. However, like someone else said, it depends on where you go to buy clothing. All size 16's are not created equal and the same goes for all women's clothing unfortunately.
