Thank you for sharing! I've been doing a lot of weight training and upping my protein intake to try to prevent losing my muscle mass. I know my supply will be put first before anything else. Haha!

No, you don't want to go BELOW your BMR. BMR is your basal metabolic rate, which is the calories your body needs just to survive - if you were to stay in bed all day and do nothing, that's the caloric limit your body needs. Now, your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) is what you'd subtract the 20% (give or take) to…

You know, I was just thinking about how I was losing weight on about 1500, what my points allow for a day ... And even if my HRM is incorrect, I would still be burning more than 500 cals a day on exercise ... Maybe I do need to eat more, as counterintuitive as it seems! (Sorry guys, my brain is just so hot-wife's to think…

Well, the easiest answer is ... Because I enjoy it. I never, EVER would have said that two months ago ... But well, I started with spin class, then wanted to add Zumba ... Then group power ... Then group active ... Then yoga, of course ... So I then I wanted to do them all. :) And as long as I have the time (summers off)…

Yes, I actually just redid the stats the other day. Does it really seem like a lot? Usually I can burn 500-600 cals an hour in Zumba, spin, or one of the group classes at the gym, so when I'm doing two classes (say, Zumba or Group Active which involves an aerobic step and also dumb bells) I can expect to burn 1100-1200…

Ha, thanks. I was 2010 in that pic. Fortunately I'm tall and the weight gets distributed pretty evenly. Apparently that also means it takes longer to see differences in inches lost, lol. Wow, to be honest I didn't realize I was eating that many carbs. I do eat a lot of fruit (but it's encouraged on Weight Watchers, so…

Thanks for the tips! Is there anyway to ensure my HRM's accuracy? And I've already ordered a food scale ... So that will be a new experience for the better! :) And yes, I was completely sedentary (besides my job) before I started exercising. But to clarify, I'm not losing inches either. Well, baaaaarely. I forgot to…

It's a Polar FT4, and it does have a chest strap. :) I will be getting a food scale, hopefully it will help!

Thanks everyone for the advice and encouragement. I'm not *quite* as upset as I was earlier. :) I do realize that it takes time for the body to adjust and process exercise and diet and then lose fat and inches, but golly, it's so hard to get that through my brain! It still feels like I should have seen more progress ....…

Well, I work out that often because now I enjoy it, haha. And I'm a teacher, so I'm currently off for the summer. Gotta make it count! And I should have put this on my OP (I'll edit it) but I'm using a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor to gauge calories burned. I don't know if it's possible that my HRM is giving me inaccurate…

Man, it was awesome! But yes, very sad. And what a twist .... I never saw that coming! :P I don't think it was my favorite episode - I'm not sure I have just *one* favorite, but I really, really liked week before last's episode!

This could be part of the problem, too. I talk to a lot of women who are on pretty extreme diets (not allowing any type of processed snacks, sugary snacks in the house) and I don't think it's fair to the spouse (if they enjoy those things and are not also on a diet). That being said, I'm not saying we should all keep…

Would this boost your levels to above normal range, though? I'm on synthroid and when i went for my last blood test, I was sliiiiiightly on the hyper side (which is where I like to be, and is fine with my Doc). Would this push it up into hypercrazyland?

When I was a kid, I was terrified of ET. But anyway, whenever my dad got the chance, he'd hunker down and hold his arms like ET's, then use his "ET" voice to croon over and over as he chased me around! I'd be running back and forth across the yard, screaming my head off. -_- Come to think of it, I'm actually still scared…

Yay for low-cal tasty soup!

NOM! Can't wait to try those! ^_^

http://runforyourlives.com/ This. Consider it official practice. I'll be prepared for the oncoming horde. Will you? Edit: I kinda posted the link without looking to see if someone else beat me to it ... which many did. :P But idc. It's so awesome, it SHOULD be posted several times. Yeah. I'm that serious about zombies.…

I bought mine at Finish Line. Yes, they are a bit more pricey ... however ... they have a thing where you can buy a pair of shoes, and use them for 14 days - and if you don't like them, return them! I ran with mine outside, in the dirt, everywhere. I had to go through 3 pairs before I found a pair that was good for me.…

A Tom Baker scarf?! I'm writhing in jealously right now. *Sigh* I suppose I'll just content myself with my plastic-cup fez ....
-
I have, starting with William Hartnell, the first Doctor. :) My first experience with DW was with Nine (I loved Christopher Ecclestian), but then I had to watch the entire series! Other than David Tennant, Tom Baker is my fave Doctor. <3 <3
-
I also love Jack! But who can resist that charm? xD xD xD And Rose ... oh, I still can't watch "Doomsday" and not be in tears! In my opinion, she has always been the best companion.
-
I would LOVE to see River as a regular companion! You wouldn't think it, but Matt Smith and Alex Kingston have some serious chemistry going on!
-
Tennnnaaaaannnnnnnttttt <3 <3 <3 And although I like Amy, I much prefer Rory. I think Amy's time as a companion is ready to come to a close!
-
Rory is like my Chuck Norris though.
^^THIS. I wonder who the new companion/companions will be?! Edit: The quote didn't work. I fail at life.

Who has two thumbs and loves Doctor Who? <--- THIS GIRL! That's right, be jealous. Bowtie tee shirt (bowties are cool!) complete with 11's sonic screwdriver and my own homemade fez. That being said, 10 will forever be *my* Doctor. <3 :)

Oh, I'd love to do this!

Chuck Norris was in all the Star Wars movies; he played the Force.

Chuck Norris can make Batman cry.
