Diets below 1200 calories can be done. You are correct. Usually by the morbidly obese and under the care of many trained professionals though.

I can tell you I lost weight like this when I was around your age. Barely eating, I maintained 115-125 throughout most of college this way. I would put on weight, then it would come off quickly by essentially starving myself. In the long run, I never actually changed my lifestyle and it is a horrible routine to get into…

About every 15-20 lbs I drop a size. As I get closer to my goal, I know I'll drop sizes faster. Otherwise, with smaller weight loss, I notice my jeans/pants get looser and looser, until I get new ones and start over again. Gets bothersome getting new clothes in a weird way, but I just get cheap ones and it keeps me…

I get vanilla and chocolate from GNC when they have it on sale. In the larger containers, ends up about $10 per lb.

I agree on trying to make the veggies differently. Get new veggies and retry some old you may not think you like. I love asparagus now, but didn't eat it for like a decade as I swore I hated them. When choosing, get a bunch of different colors. Usually the colors signify different nutriants.

I get the chocolate squares and let myself have one when I'm having bad day, but going overboard 25% of the time won't help you reach your goals or keep you there once you reach them.

I would agree with the other comments that it should be fine if it is only once and awhile. If her leaving food makes you upset, just say that you are fine with her treating the kids outside of the house, but would really like to not have her bring stuff to leave. That would seem like a good compromise.

Maybe determine what you can and cannot control yourself around. For instance, I am bad with livewire mountain dew and vanilla ice cream. I can deal with other snacks and sweets. Some are really easy and it gets harder with different things. For the ones you really love or it would be really hard to see all the time, maybe…

Yup, go for the nuts. Healthy and adds on calories very quickly. Also, after a hard workout, it is important to get some carbs and protein right away. I eat banana chocolate protein shakes often. Love them. But, just try to get a healthy carb and protein even if it is only a short time before bed. I would also agree with…

Awesome job!

I only see one pic and a small part of another. I'm guessing it should have been before and after?

I take multivitamin, B Complex, and Vitamin D (prevention of another disease per doctor). I started taking Whey Protein a few weeks ago. It really helps to get my protein to levels that are realistic since I started weight training. I'm happy using it and will continue to do so. I have been trying for around 100g protein…

First person who has been interested in you? This makes me question it. Are you interested in him for who he is or just that he showed interest? You need to deal with this question now. The more weight you lose, the number of men who show interest will increase. Go for the ones you are interested in at any weight.

Pictures look good to me now. Great job!

I'm no where close to losing a 100 pounds yet, but over 60 on a 115 lb goal. I have made smaller goals along the way and focus on those. It makes it easier. My small goals were to get less then boyfriend (225), get under 200, get under 180 (obese to overweight), get under 150 (overweight to normal), and get to 125lb goal.…

I agree with above. Just keeping working towards goal. My stomach didn't really start to get smaller until about 40lbs in.

LOL. The only thing my boyfriend said to upset me was when he said eating 1200 calories a day isn't hard the first day he was logging. It was his first day and he was eating way outside his norm. Day two he hit 1200 after logging only half his lunch. I didn't even need to respond to him on that one. :) I know he gets…

Same here. I noticed the days after I went out to eat and ate a good amount of food over normal I would lose weight and keep it off. This week I upped it to 1400 from 1200 and ate back exercising if it goes over 500-1000. I'm back to losing 2lbs now this week. Was losing about .5-1 for past 4-6 weeks or so. If this stalls,…

I guess I ignored lots of things over the past 6-7 years going from 130 to 240. I brushed off going over 200 and no longer being able to shop in misses/juniors dept, I would not look at pictures of myself, I didn't admit to the effect it had on my self esteem, career, or family. What hit me is when I went to the doctor for…

Good luck on quitting smoking! I am also scared of Chantix, not just from reading materials, but from those I know personally. The biggest issue I hear is problems with sleep and already have some of those issues, so no for me. Therefore, I'm choosing the route that Bysshe choose and just ordered a e-cigerette and I…

Mine is usually a mess. One end, back to the other, back to the other. Seems I always forget things. I stay mainly on the outside, but still get a bunch of stuff for the inside ailes too. I buy a lot more frozen veggies and fruit just because I'm good at letting things go bad.

I don't really yell or say much about what other people eat. It is their choice. Most people support me that I am logging my food and exercise, even though they sometimes joke with me about always logging my food in my phone when I eat. If I tell them how much calories something is in the food we are eating or other…

I would agree on knowing if your trainer allows you to enter your weight. I know my home elliptical does not. When I use the equipment at gym where I can enter my weight the calories burned are much higher. MFP is not always accurate. Usually higher then the machines, but not significant. If you don't eat back many of your…

I log almost everything. Frequently I do not add it when I have just a few of something, like 5 cucumber slices on my salad. I log the spinich that makes up most of the salad and anything beyond veggies with a lot of calories like fruit, chicken, tofu, or cheese, but may skip things like a few cucumbers or cauliflower. I…

Keep on trying and make sure you are eating enough.

I eat mainly yogurt, fruit, veggies, chicken, eggs, and wheat bread. I really like making spinich yogurt smoothies with fruit. They are like a treat, but healthy. I add flaxseed and whey powder for addiitonal nutrition. I slowly cut out unhealthy foods and now just eat them as treats vs all the time - like muffins, donuts,…

I think Wii Active burns a lot. I have quit playing Wii in favor of Kinect. I have kinect sports, fitness, dance central, black eyed peas, and zumba. Looking to get just dance. I like the variety, but the fitness and zumba burn the most calories. The dance games burn calories and are a lot of fun, same with sports.

Hang in there! You are doing good. In addition to what others said, watch your sodium and water intake. You could just be retaining water. Once I started watching sodium intake, my weight more consistently went down (though there were some fluctuations still). Before that it would constantly jump up and down. Also, a lot…
