  • Maybe I have a different perspective as I work with a lot of people at normal weight, but our cafeteria for the most part only serves healthy free food, so most everyone eats healthy lunch. What do I notice? The healthy people drink a lot of water and tea, less coffee and soda. They endulge in treats, but won't usually do…
  • It takes longer and you are more likely to look flabby if you don't do strength training. I lost about 40-50lbs before doing much strength training. Adding muscle and keeping that toned helps with all the skin and will get you better results in the end while allowing you to eat more as you try to reach your goal and…
  • Awesome job! I don't think you look like a meat head now.
  • No seizures today. Vet said all blood levels normal except for possible infection, so antibiotucs given. I hope this keeps up. She was a little out of it today, but so much better. Ill definitely look more into raw diet. Not for seizures, just as better alternative. Thanks everyone!
  • Oh yeah, she is a mixed breed from the pound, but she looks a lot like a german shepard with doberman markings. When I got her, they though lab/dob mix but that is just a guess. She has small head like dob, but long body like german shepard. I know german shepards can be effected, but I don't know if that is just the…
  • I read about the hypoglecemia thing. Which might explain it as I was going from a high carb mid-range dog food to a high-end protein heavy dog food. I gave her some yogurt just in case as that as some sugar in it and I know I can feed her yogurt as I have many times in the past. The bloodwork comes back tomorrow, so I'm…
  • A year ago hands down ps3. My original xbox died, so i had a grudge for awhile but got a newer version that has no issues. Now? That is a tough choice. Kinect is my favorite for motion control. You want those games, then 360. However, I dont like xbox live and getting charged. So if online gaming is your thing and you want…
  • Definitely a bad habit of mine. I joined a gym with friend and started volunteering at nights. That covers 3-5 nights a week, so i am trying to break the habit.
  • I agree with the above. Binge usually means you did something in excess and regret it. When I have binged, I usually feel horrible and regret it later. Therefore, I don't miss it. Same for binge drinking when I was younger. I go to certain events and holiday events and still eat things I want, just in moderation. I'll go…
  • Finding stuff that you love to do often. There are alot of ways to do cardio and strength training and both will help with weight loss, but everyone has different preferences. Just keep trying stuff until you find things that make you happy. With that said, I like Zumba class, walking/jogging, Kinect games (mainly…
  • I agree with this one. When I see pregnant women, very obese, or elderly people regularly at the gym it impresses me and gives me motivation. Sure, a few idiots may say something, but a lot of people will look good upon you for getting out and getting active. No need to lock yourself inside. Maybe find someone else to walk…
  • To start, change your tracker to show the weight you have lost versus how much weight you have to go. You have lost weight, but even with your tracker looks like you are focusing on how far you have to go. I wouldn't change that until you are pass your half way point. You need to always remember how far you have come on…
  • You sound similar to how I use to feel. Maybe try to stop drinking pop. I had to do that when I started. Cold turkey. Done. You will be mieserable for a few days, but in a week you will wake up and be more ready to go and it should help you sleep better too. I use to live off of bottles of mountain dew and I had to cut it…
  • I would agree on it being better the more you needs to lose. MFP doesn't have the ability to include muscle gains either. I spent a month within a few pounds, but dropped a pants size. I have weeks where I lose more weight then suggested and others where I lose less. I think it is just a guideline. Is it up or down. That…
  • I agree with the statement on getting body fat percentage checked and getting obesity information from those numbers if you don't feel the "normal" bmi range works for you. I like having about 22% body fat with bmi around 21. That is when I felt most comfortable. I would just shoot for what makes you feel comfortable and…
  • I never understood what happens to all the current pets when they make these bans since seeing Animal Cops (Detroit I think) in a city where they ban pitbulls to combat dog fighting. I think some breeds just get assoicated with bad things because bad people like them, like pitbulls. However, I agree with everyone that it…
  • I agree with this one. A belt only goes so far. Then one day you see your butt in a reflection and admit new pants are needed. Good job!
  • I don't mind spiders. I like tarantulas. Those funny commercials where the spider beats the guy up makes me laugh. The only big problem I see with spiders is that I read a large number of them attracts centipedes. And those do freak me out. Makes me think every time I see a few spiders in my back porch as that is where I…
  • Great job! My goal when I started was a size 5. Looking at your pic makes me think that is still possible. You look great.
  • I prefer #1, but as long as the guy has a few nice features, I can usually find something attractive about them.
  • Good to hear your update. Keep up the great work!
  • I like fooducate if you have a iphone or droid. You can scan the food and it says pros and cons of it and shows you healthier alternatives in the same category if they exist. Plus, I can take to grocery with me if I'm buying new things.
  • Since I'm sedentary, if I walked my dog more than 1/2 hour a day, I would probably log it. That is a good amount of activity especially if they are big active dogs. I log my lunch walks too. If I had a different setting beyond sedentary, then I may question adding since I would think those types of calories are built in.
  • Just looking at a few days, I would say increase good fat, increase protein. Others gave advice for good fats. For protein, eat protein shakes or get more meat/dairy products. That will boost your calories and get some of the numbers up that look low. If you don't get enough good fats, it is not good for you. It is the…
  • Whatever works for you. If you hit a plateau, then make some changes. I usually switch mine up every 2 weeks or so where I eat a low calorie diet for awhile and have deficits, then go back to eating my exercise calories again. The only thing I would recommend is when it comes to the calories you actually eat, you should…
  • I have asthma, my mom as multiple scelrosis, and my boyfriend has ulcerative collitis. All of us get prednisone, but not constant. I get every few years for 1-2 weeks. Even my mom isn't on it all the time and she is in a wheel chair. I don't know much about your disease and I am not a doctor, but have you tried talking to…
  • I don't know much about it either. I have had days hitting 110-140g without issue. How much did you go over?
  • I have a gym membership, but go there to workout with my friend. I have lost more weight by the workouts I do at home I think. I love kinect and wii games.
  • 14 and some 16 and xl shirts at 5 5. It really depends on pants though.
  • Drinking mountain dew like water and becoming more and more sedentary over the years.
