You could always add a vest. I clean the dumbbells to the shoulder with palms turned inwards.

Yes, just like some people end up beside a crying baby or a smelly person or a stuck up b****. If you demand the best then you buy a first class ticket. I am small and the person I sit beside always hogs the arm rest. I have had skinny people fall asleep and lean on me or snore. My most enjoyable flying experience was next…

The seats are too small to start with. Obese people should not have to pay more, nor should someone who is abnormally large due to a genetic disorder. There should be a few larger seats reserved for larger people that can be booked in advance.

Many athletes combine the two into a high intensity workout in some of their training sessions in order to improve their work capacity.
-
Most exercises can be substituted with dumbbells so you do not need a rack. You can do a front squat instead of a back squat with either the bar or with dumbbells.

Your arms look great. Perfect example of what heavy lifting can/will do.

Push/pull exercises. Pushups and pullups are great, however, many women have trouble with them. Lifting heavy weights will increase your strength until you are able to perform these basic exercises. My arms have gotten smaller and more defined since I started lifting heavy weights.

Coconut oil contains saturated fat (like animal fats) but there may be some health benefits. Many refined coconut oils (not spectrum) are hydronated and contain trans fat (very bad for you). Most vegetable oils are liquid at room temperature so are not saturated fats but can also be hydronated (margerine). People debate…

It is probably refined and will contain trans fat.

Who is blaming? Sometimes it is hard to have the energy to cook healthy when you have worked all day. Sometimes I would rather bring home a pizza. The study is linked to mothers because the rate of working fathers has remained fairly constant. I am a single parent too who worked my through law school and my kids aren't…

You look great. I like your bathing suit.

Child Obesity is also linked to more working mothers... "As the rate of working moms has drastically increased over the past 35 years to 70 percent, so has the childhood obesity rate, according to new research. A study published in the journal Child Development suggests that the longer a mother is employed, the more likely…

if you stopped going to the gym everyday you would have to eat less to stay the same weight so exercising is allowing you to eat more, even if that isn't your reason for going to the gym.
-
The deficit is created by eating less or exercising more or a combo. So if you can eat 1500 calories on a lazy day and lose 1 lb a week, you can eat 2000 calories a day (if you burn 500 a day) and lose the same amount of weight. Some people eat more on the days they exercise but create the same daily deficit.
-
Deficit means eating less than what you need to maintain your current weight. For example, if you need 2000 calories to maintain your current weight you can eat 1500 a day and lose 1 lb a week or eat 2000 a day and burn an extra 500 calories per day or some combination of the two.

I agree

Aren't most acts of cheating intentional? Like you might plan to meet a lover at a hotel, or plan to count cards, or plan on bringing a cheat sheet into a test ...or plan on having a big easter dinner and some chocolate. I'd argue that the planning or intention is an essential part of cheating.

People that always have to start their "diet" on Monday because they have to be perfect are setting themselves up for failure. Eating something that you consider "bad" is not screwing up unless you are eating a caloric surplus over the long-term. A day or week of eating perfect won't make you reach your goals but a few…

Perfectionism is linked to eating disorders.

What is a mental hygiene issue? Is that like a dirty mind?

I'm sure there is a pill for that too...

I am not misinformed. I have done extensive research on the matter and I specialize in health law. There is no evidence to support the chemical imbalance theory. Studies have shown that SSRIs are no more effective than placebo in the vast majority of people. Drug companies spend 90% of their marketing budget (close to 100…

Please read the article I posted. Nobody NEEDS antidepressants because they have not even proven to work better than placebo. I'm glad you feel better with exercise. Did you know studies have shown that exercise works better than antidepressants? Did you know that drug companies had knowledge that showed that…
-
The chemical imbalance theory has never been proven...it was made up for marketing purposes.

I'm sorry about your sister. I agree that antidepressants should be avoided. I can't believe doctors hand them out like candy and people take them like they are the missing piece of the puzzle. Depression and sadness are a NORMAL part of life. These drugs exist to make people money, not to make people feel better. I resent…

I do this at home. At minimum you would need some adjustable dumbbells. I also use a barbell, swiss-ball, pull-up bar, a step, and a weight bench but you could improvise with what you have at home and figure out good alternative exercises if necessary (I do band assisted pullups instead of the lat pulldown for example, the…

Sometime your metabolism just slows a bit as you age. I gained at least 70 lbs during my pregnancy (twins) and the weight just came off while I was eating a massive amount of calories - over 3000 per day. Within 3 months I was back down to 110 lbs. I didn't do any exercise besides waking. Over the years I didn't watch what…
