90 pounds seemed like a lot to me so I used the ideal weight calculator on freedieting.com. It says a 5'11 18 year old male with a medium frame should be around 172-179 pounds. That sounds right to me. Especially if you are adding muscle. 125 would be too skinny for me and I'm a 5'8 female.

I love this song! It's pretty, dirty, and...creepy. All at the same time. Not a normal combo.

My puppy just turned 2. He is a lab/pit mix and I luv luv luv him. He is such a big dork he fits into my family perfectly! I adopted him from the humane society he was apart of a program out here where hard to place dogs go to prison - yes actual prison - and are trained by inmates to have basic obedience and some agility…

I didn't know any of my MFP friends when I started. I did a search of users in my area and saw a RL friend. So I have ONE person on my friends list that I actually know.

That's great!

I am 5'8 possibly closer to 5'9. When I started trying to lose weight I was 172. When I joined MFP 46 days ago I was 162.6. Now I'm 156.2. I think my goal is 145. I'm not entirely sure. When I weighed less I didn't have any muscle. Now I'm putting on muscle along with losing fat so I know I will be smaller and weigh more…

Welcome to MFP! You can add me if you want. :)

Mike_Devo has eyes? I should look at that pic again! :embarassed:

you're a hot wuss! Was that too much? That was too much - I'm sorry. (That was my "I'm not really sorry because you ARE hot" voice)

I will find a reason to strike up a conversation with the hot guy. And heck - Ladies, buy a guy a drink once in awhile. They aren't used to it and usually find it flattering.

Good job lady! That's great to hear. I think you are AWESOME!:flowerforyou:

Martial Arts! Currently I take Taekwondo, but we dabble in jiu jitsu and other self defense oriented techniques. It's a great burn AND you learn how to defend your self! :)

I've read a lot of studies about water intake as well. From what I understand is - the experts differ on how much water you need and how to calculate it, but they all agree that getting enough water is extremely important for your health and for weight loss. I struggle with drinking enough water. I'm usually a dehydrated…

I eat over on protein every single day. But I'm also under my calories, not by a lot, but under. I am not as strict about watching all of my numbers as some people are. I don't even have fiber and sugar on my tracker. I am not in anyway saying keeping track of all that is a bad idea. It really works for a lot of people. I…

HAHAHA when kids saying the darndest things works FOR you instead of AGAINST you. I guess it depends on the type of relationship you have with mom in law. Is she the type of person that you can sit down with and say - I'm trying to instill good eating habits in my son so he doesn't ever have to struggle with eating the…

I started yesterday. :D

I had a coworker bring me some candy because he is nice and sharing. I said no thanks. Got the weirdo look. Allowed him to leave it on my desk. And then threw it away when he walked out.

The longer you go without drinking all that water the more your body is going to hold on to it. Only way to get rid of that water weight is by drinking more water. :)

Good job! I just had a similar victory. It feels good hitting that "10" mark toward your goal. Progress is happening the whole time, but it just FEELS better to see that new range on the scale. :)

Everyone on here is extremely supportive. You can certainly add me as a friend if you like. Sometimes starting with small health goals is easiest. Substituting a soda for some water, parking further away to get more walking in. Slowly add healthier foods and exercise. Before you know it, you're entire menu will be healthy…

I have also heard that fat cells do not go away they just shrink. Fat cells craving fatty foods is just a load of silliness as far as I'm concerned. They're cells. They serve a function. That function is to store fat for energy for when we need it. Our brains crave fat because we know its tastes good. That's it. Definitely…

I was like that yesterday. Since I decided to listen to my body for when its not hungry anymore as a signal to stop eating, I told myself I also need to listen to it when it was telling me it was still hungry. It wasn't a craving for anything sweet or fatty, it was just hungry. So I ate something. I made sure it was…

Well if it works the same way dark clothing does then I guess that means a tan would make you look thinner. But I'm gonna say no defintely not - just to make myself feel better. I'm one of those people that cannot tan. If I get any color it's white to red and back to white. LOL

Happens to me all the time. My mom always gets me my favorite junk food when I tell her I'm trying to be more healthy. My solution? This time around I didn't tell her. :)

This is great! My mom definitely belongs on here. She falls under the "but you look wonderful the way you are here's an entire gallon of ice cream I bought just for you" category. Weird she only does that when I tell her I'm watching what I eat. She means well....I just don't tell her anymore. :)

I think that's great! It's great exercise for you and your doggie! :)

I think you are fabulous and you look fabulous! One day, you will wake up and think DAAAANNNNNG! Look how tiny I am now! I have this list that is supposed help keep me motivated. I would like you to skip to Day 5. Look at yourself naked in the mirror and name five things you like. It will help your brain catch up to the…
