Not really nonsense: It makes sense: Eating early in the day keeps us from "starvation eating" later on. But it also jump-starts your metabolism, says Elisabetta Politi, RD, MPH, nutrition manager for the Duke Diet & Fitness Center at Duke University Medical School. "When you don't eat breakfast, you're actually fasting…

I have to eat breakfast or I'll be way too hungry by lunch. Here's an article from webmd that you might find helpful. http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/lose-weight-eat-breakfast

I can definitely see a difference. Good job! BTW, I think you resemble Kelly LeBrock from Weird Science in the Day 63 picture.

May 19th - The Kickin' It at the Creek 1/2 Marathon in Papillion, Nebraska. This will be my 3rd 1/2 in just over a calendar year. My goal was to set a new PB of 1:44:59, but the training hasn't gone as well as I had hoped and this course is a little hillier than the one I set my PB on.

I love having a GPS. I bought my Garmin Forerunner 205 on Craigslist for $35 and it works great. Kind of on the big side, but I don't mind.

So sorry for the loss of your husband. Great job transforming your body and your mind.

Thanks for the advice. Another runner friend of mine told me the same thing. Looks like I'll wait until after my 1/2 on May 19th.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to dig into this a little deeper. I'm sure my form isn't great.

Well, Tom Birdsey is credited with inventing the holiday.

Man...I've never heard of this day before. I had to google it. God bless Tom Birdsey.

I get that. And I actually encourage cleavage and underwear shots.

I disagree. A rule is a rule. The OP violated a rule and got her thread locked. I get that part. But, there needs to be consistency.
-
Ok. I'm not sure why you feel the need to use that "tone" with me. I was simply saying that it's a little hypocritical to enforce one rule to the letter, but not all of them. Who are you to say those threads are harmless? Maybe some people do get offended by them. If it's going to be like that, then we should never see…

HAHAHA...I hope I don't get banned for posting their rules.

So, they follow that rule to the letter, but rule regarding pictures is somewhat flexible? All images on the site, including all profile pictures and images posted in the forums, should be work-place friendly. While we reserve the right to remove any photo we feel is inappropriate, here are some partial guidelines as to…

I didn't get to read the original post about your success, so I can't comment on that. However, I feel it is a little hypocritical of the mods to lock subjects like that, but there will be multiple posts everyday with subjects like, Rate the person above you...Bang, kiss, hug, or wave in regards to the person above you.

Seven! For a boy or girl.

Definitely toot that horn! Congrats!

I agree. Your body gets, hot...it cools itself down.

Awesome! Before I even clicked on the subject, I was thinking Forrest Gump.

So, on the mornings of my long runs, I would get up and have a banana and a powerbar with some water. If my runs were going to be over an hour, I would take a Gu energy pack (or two if it was real long) and have on every 45 minutes while I was running. For recovery, Powerade Zero and some kind of breakfast...scrambled eggs…
