Thanks. I'll have to find some other outdoor activity because I don't live where it snows and I'm not much of a gardener. But I can put up a wrought iron fence with the best of 'em:bigsmile:
-
Yeah, I think I've decided not to wear it all day. But what do you mean by factor in your rest rate?
-
An HRM is a heart rate monitor. Mine has a strap you put around your chest to monitor how many times per minute your heart beats and a watch for the data. It helps you to evaluate how hard you are or are not working out to gain the most benefit. I can't give the best explanation because I don't really understand exactly…

Yeah, I used to tell people it was so my probation officer would know where I was:bigsmile:  And I agree about the website, it wasn't the most user friendly. I also had the watch which did help keep me on track but I would constantly forget to upload my data.

or just when you are working out? I just got a Timex Ironman and wore it all day just to get used to it. The chest strap is surprisingly comfortable and I didn't mind wearing it at all. I was able to watch my calorie burn all day (I like to see things in real time rather than guessing) and was surprised by the numbers I…

I just looked into this tonight. The thing here with the free body bugg is you have to pay for all 10 training sessions up front and the offer expires on Sunday. It's $629.00 for the 10 sessions. And yes, you do have to pay the monthly service after the 6 months runs out. I do have one and loved it when I was paying for…

I wasn't able to do the treadmill but I did 5.65 miles on the elliptical.
-
Well, I got my new hrm up and running, so I'm going to do the treadmill for 2 miles and the elliptical for 30 minutes (not sure how much that is), maybe longer if I can get my 2 miles done faster:noway:
-
Well, I had every intention of getting on the treadmill tonight, but flaked. I had a busy day and was just exhausted after work so I just came home. I thought about doing a Leslie Sansone walking dvd but just don't have the energy. So, I'll try again tomorrow.
-
Well, I didn't get any exercise yesterday as I needed to spend some time with a friend who's going through a crisis right now. I'll make up for it tonight, though:ohwell: Welcome to all our new friends:flowerforyou: Cassidy, I hear ya on the whole myspace thing! It would be embarrasing:embarassed: for my friends to see my…

Thanks, Cassidy. I'm going to make a ticker to track my running to help keep me on track. I've done several 5k's, an 10k, an 8 miler and one 1/2 before. The 1/2 I'm training for is the same one I did before, but I was injured at the time and didn't do very well. I'm hoping this time I will do much better. Good luck with…

Count me in. I do the elliptical at least 5 nights a week and have started a 1/2 marathon training program. I would like to be held accountable to get my training in because I really want to do a 1/2 here in October. How do you get the tickerfactory tickers under your MFP one?
-
Congratulations on recognizing your limitations! I think we all need to do this more often, otherwise we end up killing ourselves trying to meet goals that will be unattainable for us. Thanks for your continued support of this team:flowerforyou:
-
Oh, ok. I think that would be up to n2 or loser4real. You might want to pm them with your suggestion?

Good morning, team. Well, I weighed myself this morning (just can't stay off that darned scale:grumble: ) and I was down almost 3 pounds from Wednesday. Now I know most of it was water and I will gain it back but boy does it sure feel good right now
-
Me, too. Not sure what the official GT spreadsheet is. Purrr???
-
You have created a monster!!

What I like to do is to build on each challenge. So, our water, cardio, green veggies this week will continue next week along with whatever other challenges there may be and those will continue to the following week, etc. I feel like these challenges are learning experiences and need to be applied to daily life.

Cool:glasses:

93. yeahbuddy (hi, purrrr:bigsmile: )

Does anyone know how to do those little quotes, comments, etc under the ticker? I've seen several and was thinking I could put our goals for this challenge under mine.
-
Well, I'm not going to be getting any green veggies today:sad: I got up late and had to just grab whatever I could find for my food today (which isn't the best method I know). I will be getting home late but I may be able to get some broccolli in. I think I'm going to have to start packing my food the night before so if I…

OK, I'm in. But I won't be able to do the dessert challenge as I don't eat dessert. What I can do though is cut down on the dry roasted peanuts. That's my downfall of late. So, starting tomorrow I'm going to try to go 7 days without any.

That's what I thought but I have never heard that term before. I'm training for a half myself. Thanks for the education and good luck to you.
-
Wow! I can't wait till I can get to 4. You should be very proud of yourself, that is quite an accomplishment. Right now I can only do 1 mile straight. You said you are on a training plan for a mini marathon. What is a mini marathon, if never heard of that?
-
Congrats! Did you see purrrr from Green Team is here, too?
-
I'm down .8 (point 8) from last week but it brings me back to my original starting weight so I'm happy about that:happy:

Oh, I must have missed that. Thanks so much for letting me know. I'm fairly new to the site so how do we find the new posts? Recent topics or is there somewhere else to look? Never mind, I found it. Thanks again.
