I have had major heartburn with all 3 of my pregnancies, and with the first 2 Tums were enough if I popped them regularly. But this time they just weren't cutting it at night, so I switched to Pepcid and that has done wonders for me. I used to take at least 6 Tums through out the night, and now I can take 1 Pepcid when I…

This is my 3rd baby, and my husband and I are in total agreement that this is the final baby. I am having a tubal with this delivery. My doctor asked me about doing it last time, but I just wasn't ready to say I was done with 2 kids. This time I am 100% sure I am done and I am ok with 3 boys and never having a girl lol.…

yes, what Erin said! I am kind of surprised the your midwife even bothered with BMI. I have never had a doctor mention it in any of my pregnancies. You are not obese by any means, that number only came from the weight of the baby, the placenta and the fluid...not from fat. Don't give it another thought, it is a non-issue…

the first 3 days were the worst for me, I was REALLY sore, but I pushed on and it was much better by day 4. I could actually tell I was getting stronger after the first week. It is worth it to complete it, I saw major loss in inches (not a lot in weight, maybe 3-4 lbs) so make sure you take measurements or you will be…

eat one treat, tell everyone to enjoy some as well. And then let them know you will bring the rest home to give to your family or throw them away (not that I condone throwing away homemade goodies! lol)

Yes to all of the above!! Also, at 25 weeks...my boobs feel like they are both pregnant too, I swear they weigh more than my entire belly! My hips hurt so much if I walk farther than the mailbox. My nails need to be cut every other day because they grow so fast...this includes my toe nails, which I can't reach without…

I will most likely take at least a week off after I deliver, I will have family here for at least that long, maybe even a bit longer, and I know my mom will be cooking up a storm to freeze so I will have it after she leaves. I'm sure it will be all my favorites, and it won't be "healthy" stuff lol. I will just see how I…

If I would have realized it was that cheap for a gender scan, I totally would have done it sooner than 20 weeks! I am not patient when it comes to finding out the gender, and since we already have 2 boys, we were really anxious to find out what this one is, and it was torture to wait until 20 weeks to find out that it is…

My first didn't go head-down until around 35-36 weeks. And then during labor he decided it would be fun to turn and face my left side, making it impossible for him to exit through the cat door, so I had a c-section. My 2nd was breech at my last appt 6 days before he was born, and the doctor did an ultrasound right before…

I had GD with my first baby, and the thing that surprised me the most was milk! I could never drink milk in the morning, it would shoot my blood sugar up past 150. It got to the point that I could have it at all. I craved cereal so bad, but the amount I could have and still stay within my carb limit was so small that it…

adorable bellies! I don't know how to post pictures or I would add my gigantic bump too

I blame my husband all the time, I tell him he didn't do his job and it's his fault lol. I think having another baby just to try to get a girl is silly as well. It's not like I can order what I want, and I am sure I would end up with another boy anyway. We are perfectly content with have 3 kids, and with having 3 boys. I…

this is my 3rd (and final) baby, I already have 2 boys, so of course everyone was hoping I would have a girl this time. People kept saying "oh you are having a girl, I can tell by [insert old wives tale here], and I kept telling everyone that this pregnancy is exactly like my last 2. I knew from the start that it would be…

so, what you're saying is...starvation mode is what's causing my *****iness and I am, in fact, not *****y because of the stupidity of others? It's all so clear now...like a ray of sunshine beaming down from the heavens and the music of angels fills my head! Thanks Edge, I am going to go have some donuts, you know, as a…

I love the Mary Kay eye primer! And if you try it and hate it, Mary Kay offers a 100% money back guarantee

I have had that happen with several foods...mainly fast food. I used to LOVE Big Macs, but I had one about a year ago, and I just couldn't finish it, it was not nearly as tasty as it once was and I haven't had the urge for one since. I say embrace it and accept that your body has one less vice, and not wanting the Mountain…

Just put it in there raw! Sometimes I forget to thaw the chicken, so I just put it in the crock pot frozen and cook it a little longer. It works either way. I also discovered that shredding it with my electric hand mixer saves alot of time! I can shred 5 lbs of chicken breasts in 30 seconds :)

I make the chicken tacos several times a month! I found a fast way to shred the chicken...I use my electric hand mixer. 5 lbs of chicken shredded in a few seconds. I cook a whole chicken in the crock pot too. Just cut up a couple of small onions and put them in the bottom of the crock, put the chicken on top (breast side…

From: Minnesota Age Now: 37 Age at time of First Baby: 31 Age at time of Second Baby: 35 I probably would have had babies when I we younger (mid twenties maybe) but I was with a man who didn't want children for 13 years. I met my husband when I was 30 and we started our family shortly after that. My sister was 16 when she…

Western Nebraska and I'm a daily logger!

there is nothing worse than thinking you are grabbing a chocolate chip cookie and then realizing it's oatmeal raisin  Raisins are disgusting lol

I still consider myself a Minnesotan even though I moved to Nebraska almost 2 years ago! I grew up on the Iron Range and lived in St Cloud for 15 years. Feel free to add me :)

I would have done the same thing you did. We just don't always know other people's circumstances. It was impolite of her not to thank you, and most likely she was just being a little ungrateful, but will that stop you from doing something like that again? Probably not. She may have realized after she drove off that she…

Maybe it wasn't her bag to begin with and you just handed someone else's bag to her and she wanted to make a quick getaway

Don't push it, he will figure it out in his own time. Every kid is different, and there is no magic age to potty train. I wanted my 1st son to be potty trained before my 2nd son was born. He was about 3 at the time, and he had zero interest in the potty. I made him sit on it for a long time with a cup to drink and nothing.…

my 1 yr old has bad eczema, especially on his back. I used all the lotions and creams suggested by the doctor and nothing helped (some even made it worse). I tried coconut oil and it worked like a charm...I put it on him as I would any lotion and he hasn't had a flare up since I started using it on him

I am a Minnesotan, transplanted to Nebraska, and have lost 42 lbs, with another 20 or so lbs to lose. Feel free to add me!

I have been at this for 9 months now, I have ups and downs (as does everyone) and it gets frustrating. But just keep at it and the scale will start to move again. I have logged in every single day for 266 days even though some days I didn't really want to lol. When you hit a wall figure out a way around it, change it up…

one of my good friends is Muslim, and here is what she does during Ramadan...she wakes before sunrise and eats a meal high in protein and drinks at least a couple of glasses of water. she then fasts through the day and at sunset she has another large meal with plenty of protein and water. She said she usually has a snack…

Make sure you take measurements and before/after pictures. You will be amazed at the difference in your shape, even when the scale says otherwise. I didn't lose much weight-wise, but I lost alot of inches...I had to buy smaller workout clothes by level 2 because my pants fell down! Don't let the scale tell your tale, no…
