we've got a power rack, bench, bars and plates, bands and mats, plus a calf raise machine, medicine ball, 35lb kettle bell and exercise ball. For cardio we have a spin bike. (though mostly we just run outside)

I totally get the cold thing (though that might just be because it's freeze your balls off cold outside and I'm sitting by a big window) and the change in ring size. The other thing I've noticed is that seats feel harder, especially wooden benches and bike seats!

I just search the most common/biggest ingredients in my meal, find a meal that someone else made that was closest to mine and go with that. For me it's about acknowledging everything that I'm eating, I don't need it to be exact or the labels to be spot on. So long as I have a bit of wiggle room every day I figure it evens…

I'm 6 feet and 181lbs I wear a US(CAN) size 8/10 in pants, size 6/8 in dresses and generally a M (8/10) in tops. I'd love to be a size 6/8 in everything, though am quite happy with my progress so far!

Freezing weather is the only time I am seen at the gym! ( well or if there is so much snow/ice the roads are impassible). Otherwise I'm layered up and running outside. Cold is demotivating, but you can do it, just think of it as a warm break to split up your commute home and you'll have then earned an evening of cuddling…

I tend to use sharkies or gu chomps for my longer runs. I just make sure my packages are open before the race so there is less fumbling. You can probably get used to the gels on the run with more practice, but if you don't have a ton of time the gel flask may be a good investment!

well at least you're consistent in your beliefs (at least over the last 6 months that you have been posting on this topic). If you are wanting to lose by dieting primarily and not racking up huge exercise calorie burns, then no, I suppose you don't need to eat back your exercise calories. For those of us who burn large…

make bacon, cheddar broccoli mini quiche's. Totally delicious and you can easily control the portion size! just bake them in tart shells.

I'm not sure of any gyms that are offering short term memberships (though I feel your pain, especially this week! brrrrr!) I've resorted to going along on "buddy passes" with friends that have gym memberships- I figure if nothing else it gives me a chance to see them! Also, Goodlife gyms will sometimes let you "try out"…

regeneration! A killer workout with no muscle pain the next day? sign me up!

the only thing I'd worry about when it comes to race etiquette is if YOU decide to walk GTFO of the other runners' way...move right  I have leap frogged and been leap frogged. So long as you finish your race feeling like you did your best that's as much as you can do. Just don't be "that guy" that taunts other people…

my food diary is set up this way. I eat approximately 2000-2200 calories a day and average a 700 cal burn from exercise every day, so my MFP limit is set at 1500 cals. This is my third week with this setup so far, I've dropped 4 lbs in the first 2 weeks and have been feeling a lot better in general, much more energy for my…

I'm running the Scotia Bank Half Marathon in Montreal QC on April 28th, and a full in Ottawa for Ottawa Race Weekend on May 26th, feel free to add me!

To run a marathon on every continent. Though this is a lifetime goal! (and yes, there is a marathon in Antarctica) To complete an olympic level triathlon (this year!) To complete the Spartan Race tri-fecta. (this year or next)

The last person across the finish line still beat every person who didn't start the race.

resolutions for this year: No burger 2013 (kept- and have put away $95 so far doing it!); read 1 non-fiction book for every fiction book I read (kept so far); make my bed every day (kept so far); simplify my life a bit (have unsubscribed from 20 mailing lists that were cluttering my inbox and am slowly but surely…

I can remember random facts, MANY MANY random facts. If I hear a line from a song I can almost always sing the rest of it or identify what it is that's playing, even in a noisy public place (I can always identify background music).

they're establishing territory and dominance, let them fight it out, they'll be fine (don't intervene unless fur flies or an injury occurs.)

I usually carry almonds and dried cranberries with me for the bus ride home, (the 4:00 starvation cycle) though if you're at home I'd recommend popcorn! light, cheap, high in fiber and delicious (so long as you pop it at home and don't by the bagged stuff)
-
I don't cut anything out entirely (except for burgers this year). So long as you fit it in your calories or use its consumption as a reason to go do some exercise to offset it you'll stop being so distracted by it!
-
unless you're a long distance runner training for a marathon- then carbs should be central in your diet! Love the sentiment though!

Any product that suggests that you will get results with minimal effort is usually not worth the packaging it comes in. As has been said before, you'd be better off getting in some good cardio and working on your nutrition plan to cut overall body fat which will allow all your muscles, including your abs, to be more…

start slow and steady and you will be fine, listen to your body and don't over exert before you're ready, build slowly and gradually! I finished my first marathon at 230 lbs, certainly don't recommend that but it is definitely possible to be highly overweight/obese and a runner!
-
well done! That is a huge accomplishment!

I first started running in 2006. I'd been weight lifting with my bf (now husband) for years at our university gym but then had an unfortunate incident involving stitches in between my thumb and forefinger (never try to catch a knife!) I started working the treadmill while he worked out and got bored with walking on it, so…

races in the winter are usually done on smaller courses (I ran a half marathon a couple years ago in February that repeated the same 2.5km stretch over and over again) so that the roads are properly cleared. I run in the winter all the time (have another winter half marathon January 27th) and I don't usually use grippers…
