I would think so. It makes sense to me, really.

But your body doesn't need food when you are bored or in the car for a long time. These times would be more desirous than need based. Those things are not burning calories and energy. Exercise does thus the hunger.
-
This. I ran (albeit slowly) yesterday and today. I certainly felt hungry afterwards. I don't even understand the argument that exercise doesn't cause hunger. If calories are burned during exercise and we gain calories from food, how the heck could one not be hungry after exercise?

I quit smoking in March 2010. At that point I had smoked for 17 years. I had tried about 3-5 times before then to stop but I always gave in to the cravings. I felt like crap a lot of the time when I smoked. It finally dawned on me that I'd rather feel the cravings for the rest of my life than feel like I did when I was…

I looked up the ideal weight for my height & body build. Then I picked the middle number. (I think my ideal weight is between 122 & 133 so I picked 125).

This!

Awesome success story! You look great!! TFS!

Isn't it advised not to run in excessive heat? I'm not sure, just thought that it was. Here are some articles I found to help OP. I'm in the NE US. I'd much rather deal with the cold and snow then humid, hot, sticky weather any day! http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-267-269-13222-0,00.html…

That's terrible. :frown: When I belonged to a different gym a while back, there was a woman on one of the machines. She was morbidly obese. But she was trying, ya know? Some of the gym regulars were rolling their eyes, snickering, etc at this poor woman. Some were downright laughing at her. I was so disgusted. I wish I had…

Like someone else said, it's not just the cramping or headaches, it could be an issue with a very heavy flow. I do go to the gym during my TOM however if I feel the flow is heavy enough that it could result in leaking, I won't risk that embarrassment. No need for a repeat of an embarrassing high school memory!…

If you don't mind me asking, what did she do to get her tummy flat? I'm losing weight steadily but my belly seems to be the slowest in catching up to the rest of my body.

No, that's not what I said. I said if they were only doing it 1 time a week, then it should be logged. I log my once weekly cleaning spree most of the time. I don't have anyone to justify it to except myself.
-
If they don't break a sweat the other six days of the week doing their work, then yes, they should log that one day a week where the work becomes strenuous.

I switched to wine. I have a glass or two of red wine most nights. Usually on Saturday nights, DH and I go out for wings, pizza and beer. If you are only partying one night a week, I wouldn't worry much about the caloric intake. It's one night. If the other days/nights you are doing what you are supposed to be doing, one…

My motivation for logging it is that I feel it is true exercise. My heart rate is up, I do it for an extended period of time without stopping and I sweat a lot. Just the same as if I were on a treadmill or elliptical.
-
Right but I also wasn't counting my calories before and I was eating about double in calories daily as I do now.
-
This. If I am going up and down the stairs multiple times carrying laundry, toys and other items, dragging a 30 pound sweeper around, mopping floors, moving furniture etc that is not my normal activity level. This happens once a week or so. Everyday dusting and straightening up? No, I don't count that.
-
I can totally see a difference. Great job! :)

LOL! It did make me laugh! I think the jury is still out on this. I've read posts here that say one day of eating a lot is good for your metabolism and then I've read others that say it's the worst thing you can do. I think this is an individual thing and one should try out each way & see how their body responds.

Hi there! I'm have my Associates in Graphic Design. I have a great camera, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. I've used none of it since graduating last May. The most difficult part is STARTING. I can so identify with your post. I've allowed fear of failure and judgment stop me from so many artistic endeavors. Your…

Bumping, hoping for advice! :)

Thank you for posting! Not only do you look great, but you've also educated me on something I've never heard of. I just looked up diastasis recti photos and it seems that is why my belly looks the way it does! (Well, the separation, not the fat - I did the fat thing myself!) Great work, OP!

Right now, I am concerned primarily with calories. I am eating healthier than I was before. I am also more conscious of my food choices. If I tried to track the other stuff, I'd drive myself crazy to the point of giving up. Maybe once I meet my weight goal I will evaluate my food choices IRT protein, fats, carbs, etc. It's…

New stylish wardrobe New haircut and color Also an overnight trip with my husband. I used this as a goal when I quit smoking nearly two years ago. It actually worked!!
