Almonds are good for you! But I limited them to an ounce (28grams) a day.

Awesome!

Actually I do get coupons from my rewards card at King Soopers (Kroger). Not much $1.50 off $10 produce but every bit helps.

About 3 years ago, I had not felt good for about 3 weeks. One day I felt so bad that I decided to go home from work, but walking to my car I decided to try to get into the doctor. Good thing I did! My blood pressure was 165/110. I started losing that day and haven't looked back on my journey to a healthier me. I still have…

I have the ZIP and love it. I clipped it to my bra and totally forget it is there. Get one!

Woodland Park...not looking forward to the deep freeze! Working from home tomorrow....that's always a challenge to boost my activity level.

Looks to me like you've made a LOT of progross so far! GOOD JOB! I also have a lot of muscle under loose skin It's the the hardest thing to combat. Keep doing what you're doing!

Too funny!

Congratulations on all counts!!

Two years ago, I started swimming "laps" before water aerobics (breast stoke back and forth in the deep end before class). I soon had too much stamina for water aerobics and started swimming real laps in the lap lanes. The Y where I swim it's usually 2 people to a lane. Plenty room for both parties to have 1/2 a lane. Then…

I've looked at Insanity (and I know quite a few people that have done it with great results). But I think I need the discipline of commitment to see somebody. While I'm good at getting into the pool 3x a week, I need something more to get me into the gym to lift.

I belong to the local Y, which is where I swim. They do have a nice gym. I'm just not sure I trust those gym guys...like you said I think it's more about "making up a work out plan".

I will say I move more now that I can see how my day is going - especially on the days I don't exercise. My goal is 5000 steps a day (2.5 miles). I think the default is 10000 a day.

They do different things. What are you looking for? Fitbit is an "over grown" pedometer (at lease the zip is). Mine measures steps walked and distance. I think some of the newer models also do stair counts.

When I roast veggies I generally use salt, fresh ground pepper, and either Penzey's Herds de Provence or Fox Point. YUMMY STUFF! (works great on califlower too)

Happy Birthday! Congrats! You look wonderful!!

Thumbs up!

If you're spreading germs stay home...I don't want what you have.

All great advice above - GOOD SHOES (pay the money you won't be sorry); walk first (limits stress on your joints and gets your heart use to working); take your time and your rest days. For me (besides shoes) a great Jog Bra was a must have...to me that was almost more important than good shoes. Have fun and remember...NO…

I let my FitBit connect with my MFP so if I have an inactive day my calories are adjusted down to compensate. Yoga doesn't have much forward motion (which is what FB tracks). A heart rate monitor might be a better fit but I don't get much heart rate increase in yoga either. Yoga is more like strength training....not sure…

Thanks for this. My doctor started me on D but I may try the others. I wake up at 3am almost daily. Fortunately, I fall right back asleep. But I've also been on a plateau since Christmas. I'm very frustrated. I've been trying to adjust eating and exercise (just took up running). And so far I haven't seen a change in…

I have a FitBit and wear it during yoga but as far as I know it doesn't track that kind of activity. I don't post walking anymore (I let the FitBit manage that) but if I swim or do yoga, I do record that on MFP as activity. Hope that helps.

YES! Last week. I've never run before in my life. But I'm determined to do a K5 at some point this summer. I'm signed up for a COLOR ME RAD run but that's June 1st. I think I'll be run/walking this one.

FUNNY!

Well living at 9000ft...there is no air here. So I understand. I seem to have more trouble catching my breathe at the end of the run/walk right now.

I live in the Colorado Rockies....we're getting 5-6 inches right now (nasty drive home). I like the idea of doing each week twice. I'm not a fast runner mostly because I don't trust myself not to fall. I feel very weak in the legs. :(
