I am so sorry you are having to go though this! Remember that you have a whole upper body to workout, and lots of lower body exercises that don't require puting weight on your foot. A trainer would be able to help you out more also... Don't give up!

Honestly, the only true calories burned is knowing what your VO2 is with a test (like New leaf) and then using a HRM to watch it... and even than that isn't accurate..... it all really depends on your muscle mass vs fat mass etc...

Some protein powders get really bitter as they sit around... I would say, just mix in the powder to your coffee.... Coffee is water after all!
