  • I weigh in every day but only take any notice of what the number says once a week (Monday - in the hopes it helps to keep me on track over the weekend). I don't have cheat days, I just time my treats with days that I do a lot of exercise. I think if I did have a cheat day then I would struggle to go back to normal the next…
  • Amazing!! In only a year?!? That is awesome :drinker: you've lost me and my baby put together! Two people - that's nuts!!
  • I park as close to the door as possible - there is less chance for my 3 year old to run away that way!
  • Along with eating well, try doing exercises like planks and that sort of thing - I found that doing the 30 day shred really helped me strengthen my tummy muscles, now when I suck it in it actually goes somewhere!!
  • Wow! Are you sure that is only a month's progress?!? You look amazing!!
  • You will! Keep in mind a lot of that weight is things like extra blood, the placenta, water and not to mention the baby! I put on 25kg (55lbs) and have lost it all in 9 months, the first 22lbs was taken care of by giving birth! Of course I have big babies and so 10lb 4 of that was the baby  It takes a while for your…
  • I've lost over 14kg (32lbs) while breastfeeding BUT it isn't just from breastfeeding! I didn't lose weight with my first daughter, and have had to really work for it this time. Basically by breastfeeding you get an extra 500 calories per day to eat, but you are a lot more hungry too so you have to work at it. I do love…
  • I haven't read the other replies, so ignore me if you've heard this already  I think there is a switch in your brain (for want of a better description) and once it is turned on, then you are a runner. For me, I used to struggle along and try to run for longer and longer periods of time but it was a constant battle…
  • I've lost 32lbs (as of this morning) and it has taken me since September last year. I only started exercising just over a month ago and did the 30 Day Shred, so I was exercising every day. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now exercise wise - although I do go to bootcamp twice a week, so I will continue with that.
  • I vote for getting the food side under control then once that is easier to bring in the exercise side of things. This is what I did and I'm now cranking the exercise too! I've lose 14.3kg (about 32lbs) but it hasn't been fast, it has taken me since September, but there have been ups and downs and when something seems to be…
  • I find that levels 2 and 3 are easier on the knees (just my opinion though!) I finished the Shred for the first time last week, but it has taken me a number to goes to get that far!! I think if I was to do it again I would do level one, then the next day two then three then back to one again - I know that I'd have to do…
  • Lately I've had to carry the baby and buckle my 3 year old into the buggy (as we call them here) because she keeps running away! It is a real pain but less stressful then having to ditch the 9 month old and run after her, especially at places like the zoo! Mostly she just walks but if we go a long way I often take my ergo…
  • My goal was to do it 30 times in 30 days, but I ended up taking 33 days. It is only 20 minutes long so It doesn't take up too much of your day (maybe 30 minutes if you count the time taken to get changed).
  • I tried it and had the worst reaction to it! It took ages for the rash to go away and they kept sending me the stuff even though I'd rung them to cancel it!! Apparently you can buy stuff from the chemist, with the same active ingredients, for way cheaper.
  • I'm still waiting for my Ripped in 30 DVD to arrive, so today I did No More Trouble Zones, I managed to do the whole thing!! But I'm now suffering from jelly arms  I don't know if I'll be moving much tomorrow!!
  • Well done!! There is a really visible difference! I finished the 30DS myself on Tuesday, I'm thinking of doing it again but this time I might do level 1 one day, then 2 the next, then 3 the next and just roll through for the 30 days. I think it might stop me going a bit crazy (like anticipating EVERYTHING Jillian says!!)…
  • You should open up your food diary so we can see the sort of foods that you are eating at the moment. Things I do to stave off the hunger pains are trying to include protein as it fills you up for longer, also I use ground linseeds (or flaxseeds) in my cereal as they swell and keep you full for longer - they are also…
  • I always take my shoes off, even if people say not to worry! It could be that it is a cultural thing in New Zealand, or that mostly we wear jandals so it isn't hard to take them off!!
  • A comfortable size 12 (NZ sizing - so an 8 US?). Although last time I was a 12 on top I was a 10 on the bottom as I have no bum!
  • Hi, I've just finished the 30 Day Shred ( http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/506156-i-finished-the-30-day-shred-with-photo ) I did it to tone up after having a baby. I tried to do it when she was 8 weeks old but I found that I needed to lose some weight before I began (I had put on quite a bit with baby #2 and it…
  • 5'9" I am currently 168 and would like to be 150
  • Finished yesterday :drinker:  :drinker:
  • I weigh every day, but only 'officially' on a Monday. I find it interesting rather than discouraging, I seem to lose weight from Monday to Thursday and then stay the same until the following Monday! I've played around with things that I eat and do to see if it makes any difference, but it must just be the way my body works!
  • 5 minutes of vigorous jumping jacks (or star jumps as we call them in my neck of the woods) and you are all good!!!
  • Cleaning the house...
  • I don't see why it wouldn't be fine! I did it in 33 days, so 5 weeks or so, but doing it in six weeks will be way better than not doing it at all!
  • I don't think the amount of water you drink will have an effect on drying up your milk. When I weaned my first child I started dropping feeds then eventually was only feeding her every second morning then third etc. I guess if you need to start taking the medication immediately you could pump and dump and gradually…
  • I usually just steam it and eat it - it is lovely. Otherwise I shred it up and stick it in when I make a stir fry.
