The rest of this devotional; The Next Steps to Growth Ephesians 4:14-16 Yesterday’s devotion covered three steps to Christian growth: renewing our minds through Bible reading, confessing sin, and repenting of that sin. Today we will look at three more factors that will build us spiritually. Any believer—whether mature or…

Yes and amen. We need to get out eyes back on Jesus. Lord help me to keep my eyes & heart on You

Melanie I love to comparison read God’s word and use the BibleGateway.com to do so with several parallels side by side. Reading this choice of scriptures in the different versions/translations I find the sub-titles assigned by the various studies as Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) ‘God Has Given Us Everything We Need’, New…

Help me Lord to shine through for you in all that I say and do, with all I come in contact with. Thank you for allowing me to lead my darling Tony to you before You took him from this earth. In Jesus name.
-
Lord Jesus I ask that you help me to be what you want me to be and how you want me to be by following your example.
-
Praise God! Good word for those of you with spouses, and for those of us who no longer have our spouses because they went to be with the Lord. HE is my husband and I (we) have to be able to rely completely, trust unwaveringly, and lean hard into Him.
-
AMEN Sister. I pray daily that I can be the light in the darkness around me and let my little light shine for Him and His glory.
-
Awesome word. I pray Lord I believe but help my unbelief.
-
Amen! His word endures for ever and He promised us a hope and glory.

Have you ever wondered why we don't just do this instead of whining about what we don't have, can't do blah blah blah? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Becca, Weight Watchers is a wonderful program if you really want to learn how to eat properly and lose weight. MyFitnessPal is a wonderful, free, program that allows you to log what you eat and watch your calories which doesn’t do anything for me but tell me what I’m taking in and putting out. That in and of itself is not…

Father grant me the ability and willingness to believe in only YOU - the one true way to eternal life.

Yes and amen
-
AMEN! and what a day of rejoicing that is gonna be.

I am so glad that He loves me unconditionally, without reservation and totally in spite of me. That I may exhibit that kind of love toward His creation is my prayer.
-
Good message for sure. He is the author and finisher, the Truth through the end. Through His love I have forgiveness.
-
A lesson we all need to learn, practice & believe. No testimony without the tests.

October 8, 2013 Lord, I Need Your Help Renee Swope "In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help." (Psalm 18:6 NIV) One evening after an intense "discussion," my husband, J. J., told me that no matter what he did or how hard he tried, it was never enough for me. He was right. I constantly found fault…

How true that statement and prayer is. The power of the tongue is awesome yet can be life threatening.
-
Yes Lord, help me to be thankful in all things no matter my circumstances.
-
AMEN! and we need to remember to tithe of ourselves, our time as servants to others. Christ set the perfect example and His Apostles followed suit.
-
AMEN Sister - good word

We are doing a study at our church on the Robert Morris book The Power of Your Words. God really uses others to teach us what to do but also what not to do. The tongue can give life or death and it is all in our hands (so to speak).

Melanie this is a wonderful scripture and I will re-read and give my impression, or interpretation but not now. I am heading for work and don't have time and won't be home until late tonight so it will be tomorrow morning before I can read and concentrate. One thing I see is that to me Esther is a symbol of us - women,…

Welcome Denise. I do hope you will continue to post and anytime the Lord lays something on your heart please do not hesitate to post it. I love your idea of helping our senior population. As a Christian that is one of the things God commands us to do I believe. Where do you live - what state? Just curious since your…

Our testimony is who we are - who we really. If you talk it but don't walk it we are a living lie. If we believe then we must live our lives like we believe or our testimony (our story) is like batting against a brick wall.
-
I love this story - we had it in our 4th - 6th grade Sunday School class study a few weeks ago. It is amazing how many of us are true 'Jonahs' but simply NOT doing what God has planned for us. Thanks for this reminder message.
-
If only we could get it in our spirits, heads & hearts that we are God's chosen daughters. What a wonderful message.
-
Awesome Melanie. What a wonderful message. I love these devotionals. Keep them coming and if we both post one on the same day then more power and praise to the Lord.

Wow, since I missed yesterday I am going to post this devotional from Proverbs 31 Ministries as well: September 6, 2013 A New Way to Process Conflict Amy Carroll "When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly." Proverbs 31:26 (MSG) It was like we were speaking two different languages.…
