  • Lol, yes I have also found that the extra 15 min takes more like 30 if my kid is around--even if my hubby is supposedly watching him. He's started trying to jump though, very cute since he can't even get off the ground yet. Must be from watching me!

  • No, I don't get really hungry even at 1200 cals. That's another reason why I have been hesitant to increase. But i will try for the remainder of the program. I am 5 feet even, and right now 160 lbs. When I was in shape and felt really good I was 125 lbs. I would like to eventually get back around that weight.
  • Yeah, I didn't do any sort of recovery drink in the first month but I have also started doing chocolate milk with 3:1 carb:protein. I need to get a new protein powder to add to my smoothies. I tried a vegan one that I won in a gift basket from vitamin world and it is awful, very chalky. I know there are decent tasting ones…
  • I suppose I don't have much to lose by trying to keep my calories up again since nothing else is working.
  • You might be right, I have no idea anymore. I have upped it this week, or been trying to at least. When I am eating healthy food I just find it difficult to eat that much. For most of month 1 I was trying much lower, like 1200. Over the past year and a half I have tried several different calorie levels for few months at a…
  • It says I'm stubborn and maybe not that bright : ) You're probably right about being too used to cardio. My muscles definitely give out before my cardio feels totally maxed out. Especially with my upper body since I've been neglecting that for a long time.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. Honestly, if I end up not having any weight or inches lost from insanity, and my doctor doesn't find a medical reason or have any other explanations or suggestions, I don't know what I will do. So I will try your suggestions if that happens . . . I've always had a hard time losing but I've never…
  • well I am getting frustrated. I did measure my waist after that last post one week ago, no change since then and I'm pretty sure no change since I started since my clothes all fit the same. And I've got 30 or more pounds to lose so its not like I'm near goal weight. But I will keep at it. I have actually been trying…
  • I agree doing the same workout all week was pretty boring. And it was getting pretty bored with the month 1 workouts. Glad to have some new workouts in month 2, even if they are super tough. But i'm sure they will get a little boring near the end too.
  • I haven't really lost any weight, maybe 2-3 lbs, its keeps fluctuating. And I haven't been doing my measurements but my clothes don't feel any looser. Its definitely challenging and I am getting stronger, but I am a little disappointed in the lack of weight loss--I'm not anywhere near my goal weight so I definitely have…
  • I'm still here! I am 3 days into the recovery week. Those hip burners are killing me--you'll see what I mean in 2 days! Month 1 was tough but I made it. I'm a little nervous for month 2. Everyone says how hard it is, and I'm worried about the extra time commitment, just because squeezing 30-40 min in was tough some days.…
  • I had to skip a few days just due to the craziness of the holidays, getting ready for guests, having family in the house and no room to workout--eager to get back on track today and pick up where I left off
  • get ground turkey breast. Or just look for extra lean beef.
  • I eat it with fruit and truvia--not sure if you consider that artificial or not, its made from stevia.
  • Sorry if that's difficult to read, it seems to keep reformatting my post whenever i try to fix it.
  • Never posted my fit test results, so here are my first two: Move Fit Test 1 Fit Test 2 Switch Kicks 60 70 (1:1) Power Jacks 35 40 Power Knees 56 76 Power Jumps 16 21 Globe Jumps 6 8 Suicide Jumps 10 15 Push-Up Jacks 33* 14 Low Plank Oblique 24 52 *I did push ups from my knees the first time, 2nd time I actually did the…
  • Thanks for sharing, you are truly inspirational. And you look amazing too!
  • I've had one about a month. Sending you a request now
  • The thing I dread the most so far is the power jumps in the power and resistance workout. But I have seen a little improvement so that's motivating. Tomorrow I'm finishing up week 2 and doing cardio abs for the first time--that scares me a bit! mariababe81--I'm not a huge fan of the cardio recovery either. I'm tempted to…

  • I think the V had to do with your hand position maybe-- I've only done that workout once so I don't quite remember. But I think as long as your are pushing yourself its ok to modify a bit. I hope it is at least. my upper body is pretty weak, so the pushups are hell. I do a few each set and then do girly pushups on my…

  • I am really hoping this will get me good results and kick start my weight loss. Despite dieting and working out I have been stuck for months. My main exercise is running and I've been doing it for years and years-maybe its just not that effective for me anymore. After the first few Insanity workouts I was sore, so I'm…
  • Hi I'm Jen. I just started Insanity last week--I did my fourth workout this morning. Its definitely going to be tough as it gets closer to the holidays but like you I plan to try to make up workouts if I miss one, and just keep going. This is my first time doing Insanity. I have tried p90x twice but only made it through…
  • I don't know but I am in a similar situation. Started on mfp at 1200 cals per day. My nutritionist wanted me to up it to 1300 at least and eat back exercise cals. I've been trying that but not losing. I tried the "in place of roadmap" recommendations and bumped up my cals even more for 3 weeks and gained. So now I'm…
  • I've just started, done about 3 runs and I love it. I'm a mom to a toddler so I don't get much time to run, on a workday its tough to get 30 min. Before I would just do a lazy, boring road run around the neighborhood since I don't have time for much else. It hasn't given me any more time but at least I fell like I'm…
  • I'm 5 feet even and my goal is 120. I'm very athletic and muscular (ultrarunner) but i have a tendency to gain. I used to do weight watchers but I hated their strict weight guidelines. anything over 128 for my height was overweight which is unrealistic because for my body comp 125 is only around 20% fat, definitely not…
  • I am in the same boat, only about 3 lbs lost in about 2 months. I am tracking everyday and although I have had bad days, I feel like I should have lost more. I am also seeing a nutritionist every 3 weeks and following her recommendations. I don't have any plans of giving up either but my biggest frustration is not knowing…
  • all these are great suggestions but I also wanted to add that if I really want a good (high calorie) beer I'll have whatever I really want for my first drink when I will enjoy it the most, then switch to light beer if want to have a few more.
  • Hi, I'm relatively new to fitness pal too. I'm a mom to a 13 month old and i'm trying to finally lose the 30 extra lbs i gained during my pregnacy. Feel free to add me, I could use more friends too Jen
