I say take 1 portion (2 oz) of your favorite dry pasta, then cook it , drain it and weigh it! Then you'll know that so many oz of dry pasta equals so many oz of cooked pasta...then log calories according to calories per so many oz of dry pasta!

Fried mushrooms taste great... Try combining your oil with a little broth, allows you to use less oil but leaves just enough liquid so you can fry larger portions. I find the key to frying mushrooms is to use a medium heat, cook them flat in the pan and only turn them once, which gives that perfect brown crisp!

Gained 1.8 this week! 1/1. 216 1/8. 218 1/15. 224 1/21. 221.2 1/29. 223.0 Worked out 5 days, played outside with my kids a couple of days, stayed under my calorie goal all week and I still managed to gain! Yep, 1 step forward, 3 steps back... Just would love to see some real progress!

My body media armband tracks my steps, is this ok to log as miles....usually 1 mile is 2000-2200 steps.

1/1 216.0 1/8 218.2 (gained 2.2) 1/15 224.4 (gained 6.2) 1/21 221.2 (lost 3.2) Amazing how the pounds just pack on but so much harder to lose! I lost this week but I'm still 5 pounds more then when we started at the beginning of the month.

A new favorite way to eat califlower is to brush it with a little extra virgin olive oil (evoo), then brush it with any type of bottled hot wing sauce and bake in oven @ 375-400 degree oven for 15-20 min ( or until desired tenderness)...this is yummy especially if you like hot wings but want a meatless meal!
