I have never been on a diet and losing weight is not one of my goals. I honestly don't even know how much I weigh because I don't have a scale at home. I am just on here to be more conscious of what I eat and how much I exercise. I figure that if I write it down, I will pay more attention to my habits. I am just trying to…

At least s/he won't catch of fire. ;)

I'll give you some of mine. ;)

I'm with you. I don't get hungry until 10am or so. If I am hungry earlier, I eat earlier. I listen to my body.

Maybe replace the pasta with beans? I am a big fan of crockpot cooking & this determines what my lunch is all week. I like lentils and chick peas. I cut up some veggies and throw them in or roast them and then toss in different seasonings. Good luck on your herbivore mission!

In rock climbing, we call this the 'alpine start'. I don't do it all the time, but I have gotten up at 4am to beat the crowds on long routes with a long hike to get to the base of the cliff. You do what you do to get what you want out of life. You haven't sacrificed anything or hurt anyone by getting up by 4am. You are…

I know it's gross, but in situations like this I hold my nose and dive for the prune juice. I took a quick glance at your diet. Maybe you should cut back on the cheese and add a few more fresh veggies in there. Dairy can sometimes bind you up. I hope you feel better!

This is true! I just got back from 2 weeks in Thailand where I ate fresh veggies / fruit and really basic 'food'. My stomach was so happy. Now I am back home and my stomach is in shock.

To quote from the princess bride: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

& beans! that's what I eat!

I make roasted quinoa with potatoes and throw some BBQ powder seasoning on it: http://superspark.wordpress.com/2008/04/12/roasted-quinoa-with-potatoes-and-cheese/ I don't put cheese on mine, though. It's good with just the spices!

Funny timing. I am just realizing that I eat almonds and cashews pretty much everyday. I guess I should keep up this good habit! ;)

Rock climbing. That's pretty much most of what I do anyway.

I don't eat dairy, fish or meat and I don't consider my diet to be 'extreme'. Once I cut out the dairy, my cholesterol level dropped 50 points, which was an 'extreme'ly healthy change. If you want to talk to the veggie people, try joining the Happy Herbivore group and ask your question there.

Whenever I bike commute (which I did not today because it's 29 degrees out right now), I log it as cardio. I log my walk to the train, too.

Funny! I posted about hula hooping on this site this morning. As a new person, maybe you can give me some tips: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/427937-who-hula-hoops I found this hula hooping calorie calculator on LiveStrong: http://www.livestrong.com/article/89945-calculate-calories-burned-hula-hoop/

Also, my husband was laughing at me whenever I couldn't keep it going and it fell to my feet. Then he tried it and couldn't even get it to spin once. HA!

You poor thing! :( I had bad acid reflux so bad that I couldn't lie down for months, and every time I ate it felt like something was chewing the insides of my stomach. Is that what you mean by hurt? What kind of hurt? They never figured out my cause, but once they prescribed me Nexium it brought the acid down. It was the…

Rutabaga fries are my one of my faves! I stick mine in the oven with olive oil at 350, though.

I am a planner, so I usually make food in bulk so that it will last me all week long. I am also a big fan of having a small thermos that will keep soups warm for a long time. Sometimes I make a salad so that I can prepare a salad wrap the night before. This consists of a roll up filled with hummus, tofu, avocado and…

After reading Skinny *****, I decided to ditch dairy (I was already vegetarian). As a cheese lover, I thought it would be hard. However, I have found substitutes, when I need them. I still eat eggs from my local farm share and local honey. This means that I am not a vegan. I noticed that acid reflux and stomach aches have…

I somehow managed to consume 2 beers and 4 cookies and still remained 127 calories under my daily goal and had a happy & full stomach. This is probably because I am strictly vegetarian & chowed down the veggies.

Is this anxiety related? just started getting shiatsu massage and it has helped me sleep through the night and just generally be more relaxed and focused. You could also try meditation.

Local eggs, usually. I've read too much about abuse and disease to trust any of the labels about being cage or cruetly free. I now only buy my eggs from a farm where I can actually go visit the chickens, if I want.

I joined a farm share and am now cooking vegetables that I had never heard of before. It's exciting! I've been splitting a share with another family for about 3 years now so I get fresh and local veggies year round. Can't get any cleaner than that! You can look up Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in your neighborhood,…

You poor thing! They run in my family, too, but I have managed to mostly escape them these days. I've had them so bad that my pupils have turned different sizes and my doctor made me have a catscan! Now I get them a few times a year, thank god. I kept a food diary for years and figured out MSG is my trigger. I make most of…

Aren't we not supposed to judge our friends? If you say something to them, they might just stop being honest with their logging and continue to eat the junk anyway. Maybe they are really trying their hardest. If they don't ask for your advice, then you shouldn't say a word about it.

I never liked real bacon. I find it disgusting - the smell, the greasiness, the animal face behind it. However, for some strange reason, I like fake bacon. Don't ask me why. I know it doesn't make sense.

That's what I was thinking! I look at it this way - she is a miserable person who you only had the displeasure of dealing with once. She has to live her miserable life with her miserable self. Feel sorry for her and believe in karma!

add a fresh or frozen banana to that! Yum!
