Consistency and not feeling like a slave to logging and food. I do very well for weeks on end, then totally backslide because I get burned out on numbers and macros and manipulating meals for it to all work.

It sounds like he thought losing weight and getting in shape would fix whatever issues he has going on in his head and that didn't happen. Happiness is an inside job and you can get right with the reflection in the mirror all you want but that doesn't mean the heart and head are in the right place.

Since I started lifting, I haven't focused so much on my actual weight. I've seen plenty of ladies post progress pics within a few pounds of each other with a completely different body shape. I've only lost a handful of pounds but look very different.

It's photographs that scare the living *kitten* out of me. I'm so used to seeing myself daily (mostly from the chest up and my boob game is tight) so I had fooled myself into thinking I couldn't look THAT bad. It's when I see pictures that I'm shocked at where I carry my extra weight and how heavy it makes me look.
