The boobies are not real, hence the inability to do dedicated chest exercises such as benching as it can cause muscle distortion. Wish I had a magic 8 ball to go back and do the placement differently, but... I would be using it for DL, squats, rows, etc.

I had a horrible day yesterday brought on by a sudden flat tire and a good bout of stress eating. My dinner alone was 2100 calories. Today is just that- it's not yesterday or a reason to punish myself. The beautiful thing about time is that it allows for a lot of do-overs. Just eat well today.

It sounded like he was thanking him for emotional support. Maybe they just connect as people differently than with your boyfriend. That doesn't mean he's unappreciative of everything, just that they're more kindred spirits and can relate to each other in a certain way. That's totally normal in familial and other…

I was going to post something similar. I do this over rice or potatoes (white or sweet depending on your preference).

I tried it. Some aspects I liked but I had serious fatigue to the point of it affecting my daily life for the first two weeks. After that, it wasn't too hard- I like meat and fats and the like- but it just wasn't sustainable for me in the long run to be that low carb and to cut out all dairy. I know people who really have…

I just got a treadmill in April and love it. I also live in Wisconsin and do not enjoy the outdoors in winter.

Not in a million years. I joke that my husband has terrible taste in women.

I loathe buying pants. Even though I'm 5'6", many are way too long and since I carry so much fat in my midsection, if the waist fits, the butt and legs are baggy. I'm working on an overall BF% reduction to get rid of the belly and squattin' like a mofo to get a butt that fills out pants.

This! I'd hit it till it limps.

It looks great on you, congratulations.

I guessed nearly two sizes larger than my measurements state. Fascinating how perception can be so off.

Amazing success. Well done!

I also only burn 150-175 doing it. Maybe closer to 200 on Level 3.

My scale hasn't budged much at all but I've lost over 7 inches and my body fat percentage has gone down. I've decided to move the scale down the list of ways to measure success and to concentrate on measurements instead. There are far too many variables that contribute to the number on the scale that I'd drive myself crazy…

Ham and cheese omelette and pancakes for breakfast Footlong bacon ranch sub for lunch Stouffer's lasagna and garlic bread for dinner For a grand total of like, a billionty calories and no less than 3 hours tomorrow on the toilet.

I don't know about the science of it but a refeed makes me feel less likely to fall off the wagon into a pile of donuts. I've found that a meal is more beneficial to me than a full day- I'd rather do a lot of things in moderation and keep them within my macros but I won't kick myself for going balls out for a meal every so…

I've done DVDs and lost weight but my body was still fairly shapeless and without any real measurable changes in strength. Doing strength training has changed the shape of my legs in a few short weeks and my upper body strength is improving a lot. I do it three days a week just in my basement with a few dumbbells, a…

Find ways to be active that you enjoy for sustainability. I've faltered in the past because I hate cardio and thought that was what one was supposed to do to lose weight. Finding strength training has been great for me- I look forward to it and enjoy it, not that it isn't hard and frustrating sometimes.

I wouldn't say addicted, but definitely had a bad habit. I also got into the mindset of "I already blew it this week/day, so..." and would only eat more. I started cooking from home- sometimes even the same stuff I'd have out but with less grease and salt- and would do small goals- planning a meal out one specific day or…

What a fantastic and personal reward for all your hard work!

That's awesome! I have a friend whose daughter rides her bike with her while she runs but I'm sure she'd be open to having her run right alongside her.
-
Very true. I've done the BF reduction with diet before and was smaller but mushy.
-
Thank you so much for this. I've struggled getting away from 1200 cals and obsessive to TDEE- and feeling satisfied. It's good to know I'm doing something right and sustainable.

For me, I saw very subtle changes at 3 weeks and some better ones at 5 weeks. I'm just doing it at home with dumbbells and working with what I have. My legs are definitely leaner and have better definition and I can feel stronger obliques under my layer of pudge.
-
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm currently TDEE -20% and don't have all that much to lose. I started at 150 and with strength training, I'd be fine just going down a size or two and being around 140 pounds if it looked good. I have been struggling with calories- mostly to find the right number and I have seen a small…

I stay home so I do my workout during quiet time. My husband does it in the evenings after the kids go to bed or while I'm doing bath and story time.
