I'm not reading this whole thread, but I'm thankful you already added this to the conversation. Thank you. This must be said every time someone posts things like this about women.

But the flip side of that comment (flat belly = not a "real" mom) is that every woman has to be a "momshell" and lose the baby weight stat and be in perfect physical shape stat... Neither of those are good, but I am much more tired of being pushed to have the perfect body. Eff that.

I don't have photos (I tried to avoid them!) but my kid is now 2.5 and my stretch marks are exactly the same. Light pink and or silvery but still very noticeable. I think they are a little more noticeable with the weight loss since my skin has lost elasticity in general on my stomach and the skin just kind of looks gross…

Mine is kind of funny. I originally put it at 150 (5'6") because that was the thinnest I had ever been and I felt good there before. I then knocked it down to 145 after only losing a few pounds. It seemed impossible, but my pride made me put it lower. Why? Because my BF told me that he was the most comfortable with his…

I haven't figured it out. I run on a treadmill in the winter. If I run outside in the winter I can't breathe through my nose (it just pours snot the whole time, gross) and mouth breathing is painful. I like running, but not enough to endure that.

All of this. And to reiterate, his reaction to another person's body (on TV especially) is NOT the same as how he views your body.

These are so fun to read! I've lost 24 pounds in about 2.5 months. This is the fastest I've ever lost weight.

Unfortunately, online seems to be the best bet. I'm a single parent and met my current boyfriend on okcupid. Lots of creepers on there, but some genuine people too.

I'm not reading 8 pages of replies. There is no such thing as too many partners. There is only being stupid about health.

That is great!
-
OMG. That is amazing! Thank you for that.

I set mine to 1900 based on a deficit of my actual TDEE. I usually get 1500-1800 but only net 1200-1400 due to working out. I think I may need to up my calories some more because I keep losing faster than I intend to and I'm still so exhausted!

If you're getting a pre-made sandwich there is more fat and calories there than what you're entering. It isn't a great option. Like another poster said, note that Morningstar is a vegetarian option (are you veggie?) and you're eggs are most likely cooked in oil or butter that you're not accounting for. I also side eye the…

I too have fallen prey to the granola trick. And, I can't think of any recent serving accidents I've had. I've gotten used to paying attention to it now and I eat much less packaged foods now.

Thanks everyone! It really is a great feeling. I imagine this may be more fulfilling than my goal. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out!
-
lol. Well, congrats to us both! :flowerforyou: And jeez, I got my own height wrong in my OP. I'm 5'6". :embarassed:
-
You look great! Congrats on hitting that goal!
-
That is a great NSV. The sort that you'll remember for a long time, I'm sure. Congrats!
-
Awesome! Good job sticking with it!

I understand completely. I love feeling my arms now! They're so muscular compared to before. My BF and I were laying in bed about a week ago and he kept running his hands over my torso. I knew what he was thinking, and then he finally said, "it's weird to feel your ribs." Lol. It may feel weird to say it out loud, but I…

I only enter a gain if it sticks around for more than a week...which hasn't happened since I started back a couple of months ago after a long break.

I get sick when I push myself really hard. Everytime. I can feel it coming though and am familiar with it enough now that I know my limits a little better. I know when I'm getting to the point that if I keep going I'll feel sick for hours versus the point where I feel sick for a few minutes and it's gone. So, if I get to…

Run a 10k or half marathon. A half marathon still seems impossible at this point. I've never worn a bikini either. And may never get to now that I have stretch marks and saggy/stretched out skin (not fat) from pregnancy. :(
-
You hate vagina and breast milk? Sounds like you are uncomfortable with the female body.
-
Awesome NSV! And I totally understand it. I feel a lot less self-conscious during sex now. :)
-
That last sentence. And I usually post on exercise, not food becauseI rarely look at someone's diary.

My size 8 jeans are a little baggy today. I'm not quite ready for 6s, but I can see it on the horizon! Woot!

From what you said, no. Completely not okay. She needs to get the eff out now. But she sounds like she's defending his actions and saying she provoked it. It doesn't sound like she's going to leave, but you should encourage her to as a friend anyway.

LOVE.

Exactly what I was going to say. You look great; the loss definitely shows. But, your confidence in the second picture is awesome.
