I go to one twice a week; however, I wear a HRM and have entered in as one of my own workouts. Circuit training may be the best bet if you don't have a HRM. Good luck!

Thanks for these suggestions. I'll definitely pass them along to her!

I had this a few years ago in both feet and so painful! Stretch, stretch, stretch, use anti-anflammatory to reduce the swelling, as well as wrap your foot in ice. Wear shoes all the time. That was difficult for me because i don't like shoes  However, I invested in a pair of Crocs for the house and they helped so so…

Due to a knee injury, my dr has told me that I can't do squats and lunges. What can I do for my backside in that case? :-(

I just made a really yummy chicken taco soup using shredded chicken!

Would you mnd opening up your diary so we could perhaps offer some suggestions to help in that area?

Instead of focusing on the exercise at this point, I would recommend working on eating healthier and watching his caloric intake. Is he on MFP as well? As his weight lowers, it will help take pressure off his ankle. I know that with each pound lost, it takes approximatly 4 lbs of pressureof your knees. If it does that with…

The SF White Pudding is in every grocery store that I go into (in Michigan) so hopefully it will be fairly easy for you to find! It is such a nice, light dessert. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!

Unfortunately, I can't speak to supplements. I get my 25+ g of fiber in each day with the foods that I eat. Try adding a fiber cereal (Fiber 1 or Kashi), either for breakfast,or you can add it to your yogurt or just eat it as a snack. Beans, avocado, mix in some flax seed to a smoothie or something, oats. Below is a link…

I have just started making smoothies as well. If you have a smart phone, there is an app for smoothies that has recipes for fruit smoothies, green smoothies, as well as many others

My goals are to lose weight & fat (I have approximately 39 more pounds to go), as well as tone. I have slooowly been losing inches, but my waist feels like it is staying the same. My jeans are loose, except for the waist.

STUNNING!!! Congratulations on your sucess!!!

I tend to lean this way on this one. No, the way he said it isn't the nicest way something could be presented. Unfortunately, there are too many people that lack tact and what they really mean isn't what comes out of their mouths. Tell him how it made you feel when he said this & see what his response is. My husband isn't…

How much fiber do you take in per day? Women should aim for 25 g per day while men should aim for 35. Making sure that I'm getting in that amount of fiber has helped me tremendously over the past month since I upped it. Make sure that if you do start taking in that much fiber, you drink plenty of water too!!

Definitely words of affirmation by a long shot and the acts of service. Unfortunately, one of my husband's lowest is words of affirmation. :frown:

You may not see the change in your body, but I'm sure if you take measurements, then you will see the difference in your body =) Good luck!!

I'll do the occassional boxed mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, etc at lunch time. Being a SAH mom, I try to keep those meals more "relaxed"; however, fruit & veggies are always served. At dinner time, my family eats what I do. I'm not going to make a separate meal for them. If they are hesitant on something, our rule is they…

To me, eating your caloric goal (getting above 1200 min) is more important than the macros. I do track my carbs, fat, protein, and just started tracking my fiber & calcium to make sure I'm getting enough of the last two. If you tend to eat more fruit, you will go over in carbs. However, if you are eating a lot of pasta,…

I enjoy doing The Pilates Method  I have am currently taking a pilates class where the instructor was trained with this style and have rented a couple of videos of the same style & really enjoy them. I have tried other pilates DVD's and have not enjoyed them in the least. Check to see if your local library has any…

I have carried three 50 lb bags of water softener salt down to our basement (one at a time of course), & it was HARD! I was winded afterwards. Plus, I carry my 53 lb daughter or 40 lb daughter around piggy back. Phew! I do know that I can definitely feel the weight loss in my knees. I think I read/heard one time that for…

Love is out there; you just have to be patient. I know, it is hard to do sometimes. I didn't meet my husband until I was 31 (he was 36) we married a year later. First marriage for both of us. When I met my husband, I was crazy busy with everything I had on my plate (full time job, part time job that sometimes seemed full…

If you are on your hands & knees scrubbing a floor, and as the OP stated, scrubbing with toothbrushes, etc, I would consider that exercise!! I, for one, do not do that kind of cleaning on a daily basis, so it would definitely be considered. No it isn't with weights, exercise equipment, etc, but I can work up more…

There is a difference between a "healthy" skinny and an "unhealthy" skinny. There are some celebs that look ill, and others who look absolutely beautiful. :flowerforyou:
