You can replace the foods you like with very similar ones and save a ton of calories! One example is the spray oil/dressing: same deliciousness but less amount of it, hence less calories (and you can cover more food with less!) :D

I don't know about desserts, but this is my first thanksgiving and some friends invited me to their house that day... I'm getting nervous about the food, is it gonna be a ton of things? I think I should bring some veggies to share and try to behave like a good girl on a diet :) any advise as to what to avoid?

I'm not used to dieting, but I've seen my mom do the same thing over and over again. I'm obese now, and like you would like to lose the extra weight and keep it off! I think this site (and the community) would be great for ladies like us :) Good luck with your efforts!
