I don't know the science behind the hold and the whoosh, but it definitely happens this way for me.

@sarahbums You don't need to know your weight with clothes and shoes. Disregard the weight at the doctor's office.

I think you had it on female before when you got the 1270. Now that level has dropped due to your weight loss, so that's why you're getting the 1200.
-
The minimum allowed calorie target for women is 1200 and the minimum for men is 1500. Two pounds per week is probably too much for you at this point. Try 1.5 and you'll have more calories.

My swelling got ridiculous at the end. I sat with my feet up for five days after the doctor wrote me out of work, and then it finally started to come off and I lost 5 pounds. No worries. Water weight will go away quickly upon birth. In the meantime, just drink plenty of water and put your feet up when you can. You'll be…

I don't think there's a reason we gain weight in certain places. Some people just carry their weight in the upper part of their body and some more in the lower (butt, thighs, and legs). It's just part of your DNA. Losing the weight, it will sort itself out and you will lose weight all over - although more in certain places…

One pound per week is a great plan. A sustainable calorie level is required in order for you to continue to stick with the plan and make progress.
-
You'll be fine.
-
There is nothing wrong with this amount of protein.
-
Definitely switch to 1 pound per week if that's not what you have your setting at. 1240 is too low to be sustainable, IMO.
-
I guess I would go by how I feel. Take it easy and see how it goes. Make sure you've eaten enough today.

Right - just demonstrating that a dose of Nyquil could indeed be 90 calories. One poster above thought that wasn't reasonable.

My answers are in brackets. Hope this helps.

You can be over on some days and still lose. What matters is the deficit over the long haul.
-
A teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories - so a Tablespoon would be 45. A dose of Nyquil is 30mL, which is about two tablespoons (90 calories if all sugar).
-
I recomp with a slight deficit. I am 5'8", 142. I eat around 1,800-1,900 per day with a maintenance calculation of 2,050-2,100.

Aside from feeling sick, you'll see a big jump on the scale tomorrow from the sodium (likely from the Chinese). You might even see it go up several pounds overnight. Just a heads up - it's water retention from the sodium and it will go away over the next 3-4 days. Drink plenty of water to help with it. Aside from that,…

1.5 pounds per week is too aggressive for your size. I would set it to 1 pound per week so you're at 1470.

Skip it then. I drink milk for breakfast.

Use an app (I use Happy Scale). You log daily, but it removes the daily fluctuations and tells you whether you're really gaining or losing over the long haul.
-
No. There's no magic potion.

Eat at a deficit to lose body fat. Of course, lifting weights will help with your muscle tone, but you won't see the muscle with a high body fat percentage. Keep losing and you'll get smaller all over - including arms.

I've been using them for years and love the functionality. I've had a few issues with batteries and bands, but overall, I'm pleased with the information it provides.

Water intoxication occurs in rare instances and it involves drinking way too much water too fast. Spread it out over the course of the day, and it'll be fine. 130 is not too much, especially if you sweat or exercise.
-
Experiment and see what feels good to you. I used to try for 1/2 of my body weight (in ounces), which was a general rule that I had read, but that's not enough for me (BW = 140, so this would mean 70 ounces). I feel good at 120 ounces. My skin is not itchy and dry like it was for YEARS and I hardly every get congested.…

I currently eat around 1800 calories per day but I work out five days per week.
-
It's attainable. The exercise is not hurting your weight. The "a little lax on the weekends" part would be my concern. I would definitely tighten that up and keep working out.
