I have a trainer I meet with ever other week. She sets up a program for me to follow until our next meeting and modifies it based on my progress. She also helps me with my running goals and is available for any questions or issues I have. I don't think I would have gotten as far as I have without the accountability she…

I have my first 5k on June 14th and it will be run/walk. I can do intervals for a distance up to 4 miles so far but like you I am not very fast. I am looking to finish between 39-45 minutes, a far cry from the sub 30 I want LOL but the important thing is I am doing it. You are ready now.

Sometimes on the roads around my house but usually in the metro park system. There is a small park by my house that has a mile and a half loop that is half hills and half flat. If I run at work there is a huge metro park area with miles of trails. It is so big I have to bring a map so I don't make a wrong turn and get lost.

My go to lunch right now is brown rice, black beans, chicken and salsa. It fills me up and hits my macros.

I love Subway's double chicken chopped salad because I can pick what veggies I want in it. Chipotle salad with out the dressing is a close second for the same reason.

If the weather is good my dog always comes with me. I use a no slip collar on him and I have taught him to stay next to me. He pulls a little at the beginning but settles down quickly. He was horrible when we first got him, he was 7 months old and not leash trained well. He is a 85 pound Doberman so leash training was…

I usually run outside but today I ran out of time and had to do it on my lunch break which is at 6:30pm. I used the treadmill in our gym which I struggle with anyways. Today however I completed my 8 minute intervals without to much of a struggle. When I was outside earlier this week I could not do 5 minutes without…
