Don't be surprised if a bit of that comes back the next week. After your body gets used to your new routine, at 1200 cals/day, you should be in the 2-3lb loss range.

I finished it last week and while it certainly wasn't fun...I hate running...I love how I feel when I'm done with my run. I was so out of shape I had to do week 1 twice and now I do 30 mins straight. I recommend it highly. Just make sure you have good running shoes.

I've been on 1400 for 2 months and 1200 for 2months...I only missed 2x. Once on Thanksgiving the other on Xmas. Some days are definitely easier than than others but I generally do ok. I wouldn't say my diet is particularly restricted either....my diary is open.

Helicopter tour of the strip at night, hoover dam, grand canyon, Fremont St, dancing water fountain, spearmint rhino...just off the top of my head...I do Vegas 4-5x year.

If you like salads...there is a restaurant (chain?) Sweet Tomatoes...there is an excellent middle eastern place Sitti...which also has a more casual Neo Monde as well.

You may want to try the couch to 5k program. It is designed with intervals of running and walking and after 9 weeks you should be up for a 5k! Might want to check it out.
