  • Charity pretty much said anything that I could say. The only thing I could add is that if you are used to eating 5 hours before bed you would normally burn more calories since during waking hours you burn more calories then you are a sleep. So if you do happen to have a large meal before bed you could weigh more than you…
  • Its not necessarily a myth.
  • I agree with a majority of the people who have already posted. Your trainer is not an idiot most likely he is just telling you what he thinks you want to hear. I have a good friend who is a personal trainer and he told me the thing he hates most about the industry is that a lot of trainers just want your money and try and…
  • Yeah what I am saying is just try and stay at the number even on days you workout. Give it a week and see if you lose any weight. There is no real trick to it just calories in vs. calories out.
  • If your goal is to only drop body fat and retain muscle mass and strength you need to up your protein. You should be eating a gram of protein for pound of body weight and then adjust the rest of your calories off of that. Also looking through your meals your calories seem to always go over the 1800 calories. You might want…
  • Turkey is a leaner meat than ham and I would guess that rolls would have less calories than cornbread. I have the same problem my office Christmas part is a week after thanksgiving and I am just planning to enjoy myself self and watch the portions and hopefully it will be fine.
  • Not sure how taking a diet pill can cheat your body and mind but who said cheating is a bad thing? If it helps someone get to their ultimate goal why try and turn in to some huge tabu topic. Also when you stop taking them if your diet and exercise program is on point you generally continue to lose weight.
  • I would just trust what your body is telling you. If you don't fell hungry don't worry about it. However if you are worried about being 300 calories under the MFP recommended daily caloric intake you could just add some extra calories at your other meals through out the day or add in a protein shake.
  • Yeah, actually I did MadCows over the summer which was adapted from Bill Stars program. I was using it to put on size but unfortunately my bulk wasn't as clean as I liked and I ended up gaining a lot of muscle and a lot of fat. Never really tried it to cut, I have always had a lot of success cutting with a 5 day split but…
  • You also might want to look in to heart rate monitors that don't require a strap. The watch can take your pulse from your wrist but they tend to be not as accurate as rate monitors with the strap. Another option worth looking into is the bodybug which straps around your arm but it is expensive and requires a subscription…
  • It is hard to tell where you are going wrong (if anywhere) without seeing a sample of your diet. Kelly is right that it is okay to go over some of your macros (protein/ carbs/ fat) as long as you stay within your daily recommended calorie intake especially since MFP has odd macro ratios. If you want to adjust it to better…
