Bump, because I have a bag sitting in the pantry and no idea what to do with it

That really depends on what works for you  Some people like the accountability of having people reading their food diaries. It makes them think twice about what they eat. That way they can not only recieve advice or support, but can share recipes and meal ideas as well. Others find it better to have it closed,…

- 90% of store-bought cookies (excluding those from a bakery) - Cheese and crackers (I like them, but not that much and dang it the cheese calories add up) - Fruit juice (I actually hate OJ, but apple juice is good if it's freshly squeezed) - Alcohol (bleeeeeh, never been a fan)

I'm kind of in a similar boat? I was at my goal weight, and I assure you every single day is a struggle start on the path to regain it all. But as I have physical standards I need to meet (to qualify for a job), as part of the training for it I was eating over maintainence for five weeks straight. Which really was a…

When your friends describe you to other people as "a marathon runner" when the longest event you've been in was 20km :grumble: It's like they're being insulting to the amazing people who DO run marathons!

Hi there, Good news - you can eat (a good deal) more than 500 calories and lose weight. You can eat carbohydrates and lose weight. Heck, you don't have to 'forbid' yourself from any particular food group or item. Bad news - there are no 'quick fixes'. Putting on weight doesn't happen overnight, and it takes a good long…

Nope. The way my life is at the moment, I go first thing in the morning. The make-up goes on after I get home and wash my face. Unless my schedule dictates I can only go after work, in which case I just leave it on and shower it all off at home. I just...don't see the point, I guess. Plus I have awful skin and don't want…

Unless you have an intolerance to gluten, there's no reason to stop eating it. Weight loss = burning more calories than you consume. So if you eat at a reasonable deficit, you will lose weight. Not because of any fad diet.

Tonight's dinner~ With, as you may be able to tell, pineapple and raisins. I am addicted to all things sweet and creamy

This. Seeing as you're exercising regularly, I'd be eating at least 1500 (personally I'd be going for more around 1700-1800) if I were you. I know that might sound like a scary amount - and it will feel like a lot at first because you've been running on so little. But you won't gain weight - and if you do, it will be from…

Haha, thanks! :blushing: I'm glad you like  Aaand this is what my afternoon tea looks like:

Creature of habit here  I go weeks eating the same thing for breakfast before finding a new 'favourite' and moving onto that. But here are the things I tend to enjoy: - 3 crumpets w/ PB or Nutella (or jam, honey, margarine, lemon curd, maple/golden syrup...etc.) - 50g plain oatmeal w/ hot chocolate or chai latte…

And followed up with...

THEY. WERE. DIVINE. Followed up with a heap of strawberries and ice cream because there is a heatwave here and I'm melting X.x

Aha, I've never really done 'special' meals on NYE, but I did a lot of cooking so I wound up having: Breakfast - Crumpets w/ Nutella Lunch - Chicken tagine w/ dates & apricots (homemade) Snack - Strawberry & choc-chip muffin (homemade) Dinner - Coconut & lime chicken rice (homemade) Dessert - Tiramisu Supper - Tea Not bad…

Cookies are tough to do low-fat, but I've made white chocolate & macadamia ones with some success. Here's the link - http://beesbaking.wordpress.com/2013/12/08/macadamia-white-chocolate-cookies/ I've also used applesauce and sweetener to make a lower-calorie version of date and walnut slice -…
