I'm doing pretty well, thanks @MadisonMolly2017! I'm already seeing progress in both weight loss and also improved mindfulness with what I eat and how. It helps to have my wife @IrisRoseGingersnap along side me on the same journey. Good for you for re-remembering what you already knew about the high fat/sugary food! These…

@MadisonMolly2017, nice job on increasing your exercise! Plus, the improved sleep and the lack of stress: what great bonuses!

Here is a really great list of tips for developing good habits. Gretchen Rubin is a writer who has written a bunch of books about cultivating healthy habits effectively and successfully. I've used her habits manifesto in a writing group I've facilitated at work, and it's just as relevant here. Here is her Habits…

Thanks, @MadisonMolly2017! I was super into MFP communities several years ago and I lost a lot of weight then…some of which I have regained. I've tried to lose weight a bunch of times since then and have never been able to stick with it. This time, I'm trying to be more involved in MFP communities again because I think it…

I meant to say "I'm really enjoying only eating at the table instead of front of the tv" but it wouldn't let me edit it…Thanks for the welcome, @nebslp!

Hi everyone! it was inspiring and motivating to read everyone's posts so far. IrisRoseGingersnap is my wife, and so my goals are essentially the same as hers! We're only on the second day of trying to build healthy habits, but it feels good to be on the right path. I'm really enjoying only eating at the table in front of…

Update: I did W4D1 today and made a conscious effort to slow down. It worked! It was challenging and difficult but I felt great and my breathing was manageable. Thanks again for the great advice!

Thanks for your replies, everyone. I will try slowing down and see if that helps. Also, I'd love to have some C25K friends, so feel free to send me friend request.

Great job! Congratulations on all of your hard work.

I'm sorry you've had a tough time. Maybe a bit of journaling would help you figure out what went wrong and why you fell off the wagon. If you can get a grip on that, maybe it will help future falls of the wagon. It also might help you to think about your goals and what you want to accomplish. It's never too late to get…

Great post! I want to have logged in to MFP everyday and logged every single meal by the end of this year! Even through the holidays!

Thanks for the reply. I'm at the doctor's office right now. I was given the lemon-lime flavor. The first sip seemed like it wasn't going to be so bad. But then I kept drinking and it was UGH. but I kept it down, thankfully, and now I wait. Thanks again for the response!

OMG, everything looks and sounds soooo delicious, and now I'm hungry!

Hi! I haven't had weight loss surgery and don't plan to, but I do know that weight loss is basically supposed to reverse many of the PCOS symptoms, so it sounds like that's what's happening to you. Congratulations!
-
Hi! I've taken spironolactone for years and years and have had no noticeable side effects. It helps with some of those unpleasant PCOS issues, like hirsutism. Good luck!
-
Congratulations on your awesome accomplishment!

You look fantastic! And I love the cat photobomb!
