When I started I was only interested in losing weight through calorie control. However I quickly found out the benefits of excercise - you feel great, knowing that it is doing your health the world of good, AND the benefit of it giving me more calories to eat in the day. My husband was never one for excercise and he is now…

Thamk you all for your response. It confirms my feelings. Looking forward to work today and ready to deflect any negative comments. BTW I measured myself and I am 37 - 30 - 39 so again I feel this is a healthy build for my height and age. Certainly not too thin as some are claiming. Thanks again folks x

Home made chicken kebabs - dice chicken, cut b red and green peppers and onion - grilled. Accompany with mixed salad and couscous. For a different taste if you have time - marinate the chicken in tikka paste. mmm low cal, carb and fat. Moderate/high protein.

Well done, you look fabulous. Great to see you have been able to maintain it. How many calories do you use for mainetenance?

Hi - well done on your success so far. I feel for your frustration. It;s maddening when you cannot fathom out what has happened. Looking at your diary I think your fat may be too low. (I had this problem). So a good way to introduce really good fat is flaxseed. However you will need to weigh them out as they are quite high…

You said last week you were under your calorie goal - I would suggest eating all your calories - including your earned calories from excercising. Honeslty - this works! Good luck

Hi, I am 48, 5"6 and my goal weight is 140lbs. - only 7 pounds to go. I feel this will be a good weight for me. (However once I'm there I probably want to be a few pounds lighter lol). I really think goal weights are very personal - ie body shape, frame, age etc. I

Thanks for showing us how to work lean body mass. Very helpful.

How do we work out the percentage of lean body mass?

I personally go over my protein every day. However I cannot see where I could reduce it really. So I don't get fussed at all with it. Just keep to my recommended cals, and am always within the carbs and fat. I have been doing this 60 days now and it hasn't seemed to affect weight loss (lost 17 lbs). That said I would…

Me too - I love to snack. I seem to be ok in the daytime but after dinner I love to nibble whilst I watch TV. I usually have fruit, nuts, dutch crisp bakes, low cal hot chock drinks, two pieces of dark chocolate. At the weekend I use my snack cals on a few glasses of wine. I also excercise more to balance things out (and…

My initials and the number 3 is my lucky number (coincedently most of my house numbers seemed to have a 3 in then) and the number of children I have.

For the uk folk here - Tesco sell a small measuring jug that also has "cup" and "half cup" measurements on it. I find this helful when estimating soup measurements etc. Hope that helps

Congrats on your husband joining you! My husband joined me two weeks after I started. It is great as we are both encouraging each other and seeing real results. He has swapped the beer for the occasional glass of wine, we walk more and are really enjoying this journey. So good luck and keep us posted  Oh and btw -…
