I like both walking and running. Walking for me is relaxing and burns more fat. I also run once or twice a week because it increases my overall fitness. So I would just do what feels right for you.

I have not read all the posts, so sorry if this has already been mentioned. I would suggest Ortisan cubes. I live in the UK and get them from the supermarket. They have fruit, fibre and senna in them. Good luck.

Just started running and read that it doen't burn as much fat as walking. What's your take on that?

This happened to me. I researched it and found I was not drinking rnough fluids, or healthy fats. So upped the water and took 20g flaxseed every day with my breakfast cereal. No more problems. Btw - google the health benefits of flaxseed, the benefits are numerous. Hope tihs helps.

I have heard that they can be unreliable when in the car - eg they can jump up lots of steps, when infact you haven't taken any. Has any one found this to be a problem?

Hi ya. Just a wee bit of personal info for you. I also started at 1200 - and to be honest it worked for a while. Then I (very reluctantly) increased to 1500 and ate ALL my excercise calories. Result - great weight loss and didn't feel deprived. When I reached my goal weight tho - trying (still am) to find my maintenance…

Flaxseed is meant to be good for reducing cholesteral. Also walking is said to help lower cholesterol. Good luck.

I would recommend pleny of water, fiber (all bran of porrige oats) keep moving - brisk walking or running and flaxseed (2 table spoons with your breakfast cereal. Also prunes - as they are a natural laxative.

Met at 18, married at 21. Still together - 3 kids later (26, 23 and 14), I will be 49 in May and Hubby 50 in Nov. Still very happily married. xx
