Have you set your goals up correctly? Food doesn't need to be expensive, try eating smaller portions of what you normally eat, then eventually you will want to replace your foods with healthier options. You have to still enjoy eating or you won't stick with it.

Hi Mandy I use promax only because you can buy it at tesco, sainsbury or asda. They sell the shakers for it too so you can take powder to the gym and add water when needed. Its palatable like that but when you're at home you could add fruit and blast in blender with ice cubes and its lush. :)

I do have horrific binges 1000 + probably 4 times a month. I do find that since I've started eating 5 -6 smaller meals a day and adding protein, fats and carbs to each meal I'm bingeing less.

I absolutely agree with this ^^^^^^ I have had to manually change my numbers also. I do have a very active job 4 days a week (gardener, housekeeper, masseuse) , but the other 3 days I'm probably lightly active. On top of that I exercise 5 times a week. My calorie allowance was 1700 which was way too low. I've been on this…

I always plan for the next day - the night before. In my settings against each meal i.e. Breakfast I have the calories I'm allowed i.e. Breakfast 450 cals. That way I know how many cals I'm allowed for each meal/snack. It also means that every night I can have 200 cals worth of my favourity Green & Blacks chocolate if I…

I'll look at that Tonya thanks. I've been estimating about 300 cals for 45 mins massage.

OMG huge article about this in the UKs The Mail on Sunday which is the weekend version of the The Mail. Certainly is not a good diet to follow.

Enjoying reading the posts  My hubby is only 2 years older but he's a lovely fireman phwoar  Well I'm hoping to get out my 4 week plateau this week. I've purchased the ebook Burn the Fat Feed The Muscle, and have done as I'm told and increased my calories. I definately feel like I've lost some fat, and I'm…

All three of my sons are into climbing. Two youngest do the indoor walls, but oldest has just started outside climbing. He was just showing me some photos on facebook of their weekend down in Newquay. I nearly fainted at the height they were climbing and the silly-sized crash mats they'd taken with them!!!! :noway: Well…

I do and I work outside in the cold. For the winter I increased my calories on those days. When its hot I tend to lose my appetite maybe its because I drink more water. smileylittleorange, I'm on the SouthCoast (Portsmouth) where are you? Buddy me if you like and anyone else who wants some support. Welcome all the…

Wow hello all the newcomers! I'd love to get into size 12 clothes and I'm hoping when I reach my goal of 167 lbs and/or 24% bf I'll be there. I was lucky enough to be working outside today. I've been weeding a large gravel driveway. Its been back breaking but satisfying with it all looking so nice, that is until the owner…

This all makes sense to me.

Hi everyone. Irns thank you for setting this months forum up. Irns I still can't see your blog when I type it in it says blog not found?? chazsucks , ruthie and lynz hello to you all. I've had a really really bad week foodwise, just lost control along the way and done a lot of bingeing. All been linked to some sad…

Sorry clicked too soon. I agree with those 'healthy weight ranges'. I am 5ft 11 currently 172lb (UK size 14, US size 12) and would like to get to 167 - 170lb. My lowest weight has been 126lb and my periods stopped! I am also very muscular.
-
Well its the end of another month and somehow I managed to lose 2lb. Mainly it was food poisoning I think, but the weight hasn't gone back on again so I'm recording it officially  I'm now 2lb off my goal. It would be nice to achieve that next month, but not banking on it. My bf is 26.9% so would be nice to get that…

Just for Today I am trying to live in the day and make it a good one.

I totally agree!!!! I belonged to Overeaters Anonymous and one of the symptoms of giving up was learning how to live and feel our emotions without turning to the drug of choice (food). Anger certainly reared its ugly head for me and I'm not normally an angry person. It is like going through grief for a lost loved one and I…

I was drawn to this forum because Overeaters Anonymous daily meditation book is called ' Just For Today' and I thought it was about that LOL. This is just as good and very inspirational and motivational (is that a word?). So glad I clicked on it. I have just eaten my last meal of the day and it was a good one thanks to…

Just for today I will start again with my next meal and not wait until tomorrow.

Make time for exercise now or make time for illness later.

Hi everyone. Lee you sound very motivated, good luck with it all, it helps to have a goal in the distance to work towards. Jain makesure you change your trainers after 500 miles. Its also amazing the number of people who think good quality trainers last for ever. They do need replacing. I'm due to replace mine next month…

Totally agee with nightowl. Do 10 mins slow climbing to warm up, then time yourself for 10-15 mins and go as fast as you can, then slow again for 5 mins. Using hrm I've burnt about 350 cals doing this.

Jain I feel pretty stupid about it now, and all self-inflicted. The thought of eating it again turns my stomach at the mo
