  • B) hi! You guys seem like a fun bunch. I’ve been skimming this thread. I did ww for a while but didn’t see much success with it. I’m 33 live in indiana and I’m married with one kiddo and three cats. :#
  • Double posted
  • I like the pure protein vanilla. I ordered it on Amazon for $30 ish. I use my ninja blender and mix a cup of milk, a scoop of powder, and some frozen fruit for breakfast.
  • Big fan of the one I made this morning. I used 1.5 cup of Silk chocolate cashew milk (tastes like a malted milkshake), 1 very ripe banana, and one scoop of protein powder. Chocolate covered banana protein shake! It's a little high in the sugar department but 370 calories and 26 grams of protein.
  • Excellent. I know the temptation is super hard. If I know pizza will be around, I bring a huge salad I need to eat first so I don't have room for 4 slices. That helps. I can't eliminate anything or I binge. So finding your own way to deal with it ensures a long term success. Go you!
  • Donuts are my weakness in life.... seriously. Carb covered with sugar. Dream food right there.... Good for you for avoiding temptation.
  • I really try to make room in my calories for the yummy things I want. Substitutions just don't do it for me. I need the real gut buster deal. Like spaghetti squash. I like it for what it is. But it will never replace a big bowl o' pasta goodness. That being said, my healthy recipes are usually gentle subs in…
  • I'm larger than you but 90 minutes of Zumba would get me around 1,000. I burn between 650-850 in my hour class according to my hr fitbit.
  • IBS: Watch and carefully log food to find your triggers and then avoid them. Take probiotics to help manage symptoms. Be sure you have adequate fiber as well. Ulcers: Zero soda. Ever. Reduce acidic foods and beverages and take prescribed medications religiously. Seriously, ulcers are no beuno. As for exercise - Like a PP…
  • That's on the low end of normal. I would get a women's multi with D and Iron/Ferrous Sulfate and call it a day. "Normal" on D is between 50-150 on my paperwork. My D levels are very low and I have to take a slew of vitamins, a prescription of D, and a cholesterol med at 26. It stinks, but I make it work. Best of luck to…
  • Have your Vit D levels been tested as well?
  • Ferrous Sulfate otc tablet. /thread! http://www.cvs.com/drug/ferrous-sulfate/oral-tablet-gastro-resistant/325mg
  • Yup sure do. My birthday is a glorious day of guttony. My mother makes her famous lasagna which is far from low cal. And we usually have cake or sometimes sugar cream pie. Both also not low cal. You can't avoid them forever. I choose to take my birthday as an "off" day and then proceed forward the next day. One day over…
  • Lots of lifting weights and reducing the overall body fat. Most body builders that you see (even women) with serious abs are doing cut/bulk cycles. Just keep at it and be patient. You are going in the right direction with weight lifting.
  • I can tug my once comfy pants down without unbuttoning them and my accidently purchased a size too small jeans button and close! They are also too snug to wear out (happy in between size day ick!) but they close! That's better than 30 days ago.
  • I had a one for 2 years and I really liked it. It did a fair job of measuring my activity but I was still being under counted for things such as Zumba. I got a Charge HR about 45 days ago and I really like it. It does a good job of measuring my heart rate which I was more concerned about than accurate steps. It comes in…
  • I second the dietitian notion. You will need more help planning than we can provide I think.
  • Weights are the difference between losing and maintaining for me. I refuse to eat lower cals so weights allow me to eat where I want to and lose weight. Plus look better doing it!
  • I'm so weird. I eat less.... I get starving after the fact.
  • Oh sweets! Weight lifting will be your best friend! It's not overally breathing intensive so it won't interfere with your lung condition. It will actually help to increase your BMR so you can have a larger deficit while eating the same. That's what I'm doing. My diet hasn't changed in months. I wasn't losing before. I…
  • I believe that reducing carb is the way to go and not elimination or very low. I'm a self proclaimed carb a holic. I love pasta and bread. Yum. But I know that I have to be very cautious when I eat them because it's easy for me to go overboard. There's not as many nutrients in pasta as an equivalent calorie amount of say…
  • Or the mushroom steak
  • LOL. I order something that I can finish if possible. So I will order off the light menu. Me and leftovers rarely happen when I eat out. Usually, if I know I'm eating out I will try to plan for a monster dinner. My favorites: Applebee's - Pepper chicken alfredo
  • I don't think it really matters if you eat breakfast or not. Personally I eat something small for breakfast because I take a lot of vitamins in the morning and otherwise, I get a bit nauseous. That's the only reason. Otherwise, I didn't really do breakfast. I'm a fan of eat when you are hungry. Normally I'm not really…
  • My fitbit was a big help and eye opener as far what my calories needed to be. I was told that to be sedentary, I had to be a couch potato. But I have an office job and I really am sedentary because of it. My fitbit gave me an accurate measurement of my activity and I'm losing weight because of it. I have the charge HR…
  • You may also need to have your hormone levels checked. Low progesterone levels can cause sleep issues. Especially if you are over 40.
  • Your protein seems low to me and your carbs are on the high side as well. I would lower the carb level especially if you are lacking the ability to workout.
  • You can go in and click change my goals and select the same information. 1 pound per week or whatever yours is and it will recalculate.
  • I would recommend getting blood work done to test levels of vitamins like d and iron (particularly if you are a woman). I was taking multivitamins for a long time before having my work done last week. My iron levels were through the roof. Doctor told me to stop any vitamin with iron in it ASAP. My D was bottomed out and he…
  • No going to maintenance for a few weeks or months is what you can do to break it is what I think they meant. Maybe? :)
