Some nice numbers in this thread! I deal in KG's normally. Height 6ft, weight 81kg (178lbs) Bench 120kg (265 lbs), 1.5x bw Squat 160kg (352lbs), 2 x bw Dead 180kg (396lbs) 2.25 x bw Those are all absolute max's at the moment, I probably hit them 70% of the time I attempt them. Squat I haven't tested in about 2 months as I…

Yes. I've held for about 6 months without counting calories. However my diet is fairly boring and I know all of my portion sizes from previous meal plans. To gain, which I am just starting to do now I need to log my calories. To lose I see a nutritionist and get a meal plan, then I just have to weigh portions.

You need to take it every day to get the full benefit, it's not an immediate effect type supplement, it builds up in your system. When cutting you should stay on it, it will help you maintain your strength which is good for motivation. Having said that when your body-fat starts getting well under 10% you will want to stop…

I seriously doubt any pro bodybuilder puts themselves through that just to get laid. Back on topic, if you just Google search "Natural Bodybuilding" and take a look at the majority of the pictures, that should give you a general idea of how big a person can get without the various kinds of steroids. Keep in mid, the best…

13 lbs is about 6kg. I am lighter than you and can dehydrate off 3-4kg over 4 days to make a weigh in. So if your weigh in goal is 190, then you only need to drop about 5lbs of body mass and you can make the weigh in fairly easily by reducing your fluid intake and hitting a sauna before you weigh in. This will give you a…

Try and see how many you can do, and then keep trying to beat your previous best. If you're getting up to 3 sets of 20 then you need to look at adding weight or changing to a more difficult bodyweight exercise.

Haha, yes. Please.

Work them like you would work anything else. Heavy, and not every day. If you wanted big guns doing one set of 50 biceps curls every day is generally regarded as the wrong way to go about it. If you can do 20 crunches, time to find something harder. If you can do 20 leg raises, find something harder. Abs are tricky because…

Took 3 years to get half way. Took 4 months to get the second half when I actually knew what I was doing. Wish I educated myself a long time ago.

I must be the exception to all of these scientifically proven weight loss / muscle gain techniques. It definitely has nothing to do with my piss poor execution, science is wrong.

23. 24 in 2 days

For allegedly having a foursome. I didn't, and she didn't actually break up with me on the spot, but the tantrum that followed was the straw that broke the camels back and I walked away.

It's all I can do to make it from my bed to the shower in the mornings, always prefer to train in the evenings.

I think this can be deceiving. I know a guy who competes in that class, on stage in board shorts which are cut off slightly below the knee it really doesn't flatter the legs. He got the same sort of comments on a lot of his photos. But I know first hand that the guy has monster upper legs and if his quads were exposed no…

Yeah would't surprise me. For me its dead>squat>bench. But a mate who I bench with does the same weight on the bench and about half on the dead and squat. For him bench = dead > squat. I rarely see anyone doing a heavy squat or dead lift, but kids are all over the bench.

1) I would hope and expect my best friends to be the first to point out anything that I am doing wrong, they are straight up and they have my back. 2) Same old metabolism excuse, comes up around here all the time.

Agree with this, at your weight body composition becomes more relevant. Tracking your scale weight won't give you the full picture, what is actually important is how much fat you are losing. Also agree with the guy who suggested the scoobysworkshop.com calculator, that one is good. There is also a good one at iifym.com.…

Not competitive, but do try to manage my weight and body comp fairly carefully for MA.

Good read, unfortunately will never sink in for some people. Having an excuse is too convenient.

You need to elaborate on why you disagree with the law of physics that energy cannot be created or destroyed.

More meals, its uncomfortable for me to eat more than 1000 calories in a single sitting, keep it at 6-800 6 or 7 times a day and you're set.
