90% of my workouts are BodyRock. I've lost a solid 8 lbs or so of fat from Zuzana's exercises since December. I can do quite a few pushups now and my calves are very toned and my arms are getting there as well. Just noticed this last week my quads are starting to look toned up as well. Yes, the workouts can be…

I hate that rule...lol !!!! I do interval training for most of my workouts. I have seen toning results and am very happy with that. Able to do my pushups. ☺ Have come off the scale obsession and understand that how my clothes fit and how I feel is more important. I have to remind myself that three years ago, I was 20 lbs…

Impressive, you look great! "What was the problem? -I looked like a skinny rat. -My diet was not sustainable. -Failure was imminent? My new lower weight provided me with a lower metabolism due to fat and muscle loss. Without the support of lean muscle, minor easing of my diet resulted in the pounds returning. My diet was a…

Welcome!! The best way is probably an HRM - Heart Rate Monitor and to assist you and go from there. I don't have one yet, but aim to get one soon. MFP doesn't have "interval training" in it's database so I created my own exercise in the Exercise tab under "My Exercises". I made an exercise for strength workouts and one for…

This frustrated me for the longest time. Finally made my own exercise which can be done under the MFP Exercise tab. One for strength focused Bodyrock exercises and one for cardio by using this formula: Calories = [(0.074 x Age) + (0.4472 x Heart Rate) -- (0.05741 x Weight) -- 20.4022] x Time / 4.184

YES! Love the site and it's definitely evolved over a year's time. Been visiting there off and on but have been a day to day steady Bodyrocker for a month! Did those jump squats the other day and felt it the next! What caught me about this site was that it is free (No DVD to buy), follows interval training, and uses your…

If the weather is too bad to be out - jump rope! It can be one of the BEST cardio workouts. It can improve your coordination and balance to. I use it alot in interval training and as I've learned there are quite a few different ways to jump rope! (one leg, fast rope, low rope, skip, side to side etc) . Thought it was a…

ZERO. (Glad to see others have had similar issues!) Lost 0 on my 2nd week (exercised 3-4x each week), and 0 for most of my 3rd week. I think I may have even gained a pound. The last week I exercised 6 times that week with 30-35 minute duration and then finally dropped 2lbs. My goal loss is about 15-20. Dealing with the…

Sigra - a point. I was very cold all during my 12 hr shift at work yesterday. I am wondering if that had something to do with it. I am allergic to any kinds of nuts so finding healthy & high protein snacks sometimes is hard for me. So many snacks, granolas, fruit bars, etc have nuts in them. Sunflower seeds seem to help -…

My meals consisted of small portions of last night's prime rib + salad and side dish. I'm at work for another 4 hrs and have tried water already and really, the getting up from going is gettin old already. I feel like I need grease (ie: fast food) and am really fighting the urge!! Yup, just being difficult. My goal is just…

www.delish.com (Low Cal section!) Used to be pretty limited on ideas myself, but found it fun browsing food sites online, seeing a picture that looked good - printing out the recipe and just trying it.

ShipleyAK - That is GREAT! And, and encouragement to hear for me, too.

Thanks for the great feedback! I did think about what I did differently on vacation than my daily routine. What I think was the areas was being more moderately active throughout the day versus 10-12 hrs of sitting on the rump + the couple people I stayed with were both on either glutin free/anti-inflammatory diets or no…

Thank you for your replies! Okay, so I will be extra careful with my calorie counting. I could do better there I will admit and be more specific. And, watch processed foods. My measurements haven't budged, but I will give myself another week of exercising and watching food and check in again.

Also, I would like to keep track of my exercises here in the log but cannot find anything that is equivalent to interval/circuit training? Ideas?

*I have not used P90x but have checked into it and know someone who has used it. But, the answer is - No. You do what you feel "comfortable" with at first and keep up as you can. The trainer even says so in the video. There is also a Power 90 workout that isn't as strenuous that you can use for starters (is also much…
