I have the Polar FT4 and love it! I had a fitbit, but decided to go with a hrm so that I could get a good idea how many calories I was burning at the gym. The fitbit just can't do that.

I have this one also and love it!

Nice.

I didn't scold you. I gave her my answer. You can give an answer without being rude or over the top. I'm sure a simple, yes I've tried it doesn't work would suffice. Or No, I haven't taken it. Or don't answer at all. You have a wonderful day!

I'm not recommending anything. If they want to carry your "magic rock" around in their pocket for motivation so be it. No one is saying that they want a magic pill, or that they don't want to do the work to get where they want to be. Stop being so harsh. She just asked a question.

It doesn't matter what it is. IF GIVES YOU MOTIVATION TO DO THE WORK THEN DO WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU! I didn't compare B12 to ketones. If you do your research and it doesn't harm your body then go with it. You don't have to be so negative towards people. Most people start out having a very hard time stay on track. Your…

I don't think anyone said it was a magic pill. I been seeing it a lot in people's diaries, but I have no idea if it works. It's probably water soluble and you pee it out anyways :) If it helps to stay on track then I say give a try. Sometimes, taking something gives us the mind set we need to follow through with our goals.…

Absolutely! I don't want you all to think that I walk around saying I'm fat and I need to lose weight. They tell me enough how pretty they think I am :) But they do notice me watching what I'm eating, and like any small child, they want to do the same. To them it's a game, but in the future, they'll have a better…

I kind of see it as me setting an example for the long term. They don't restrict themselves from foods, and they still have candy or sweets as a treat. But we don't make a habit out of it. I agree, as long as they are not asking me "Do I look fat" then I think it's fine. They are not on a diet, they are starting out…

I have 5 yr old girl twins! Because I am constantly watching calories and weighing food, both my girls have noticed. For example, they ask me if certain foods are healthy or turn down food because they think it's not healthy for them. They've even started looking at calories on the back of packages. They are very young to…

Hi! I'm doing a 1200 calorie diet also! Please feel free to add me!

Hi! I'm in the same boat! I am looking to add some motivated friends! I sent you a friend request :)

It was just meant for me to see your post this morning! I'm weighing everyday but seem to be up 2 or down 2 every day! What you're saying makes sense, and I think I'm going to try it. It's very discouraging to work hard and not see a loss.
-
Thank you all for the advice! I'm excited to try some of your suggestions!

I like to go in the morning. I usually set my alarm for 4am, be at the gym before 5 and then back home around 6 am. It makes the whole day for me. I go with my hubby when he gets off work, which is usually around 5pm. But at that point, I'm tired and make excuses not to go :)

I'm in Soddy Daisy, so not to far from Harrison. They were hit pretty hard, I feel so sorry for all those people! Then to have another tornado come through earlier this year, I'm sure it's devasting!

Hi! I just wanted to see how it was going on Victoza. I have PCOS. My A1C came back normal, but my insulin is elevated. I've been on glucophage and diet and exercise regimen for months now. The doctor recommended this to me today and I just wandered if anyone with PCOS had any luck with it.

Thanks for posting this! I'm going to give it a try. As far as cutting out sweets, I can't put my whole family on a no sugar/sweet diet (I have 2-5 year olds!) But what I can do is find ways to cut calories and fat. I feel like if I deprive myself of something, I tend to eat more of it.

Hi! I'm in Chattanooga! Hope to connect with other Tennesseans!

I would love to join! I am 100lbs over weight, 32 yr old with 5 year old twin girls! Please add me!

I had skin tags removed a couple of years ago and I've been lucky that they've not returned. I was told that it's usually sign of insulin resistance (of course with the PCOS) and that once that was on the way to being resolved they would go away. As far as acne, I look like I did when I was 13! I have tried everything from…

I guess it depends on what you like in the morning. I have found a protein bar that I love and is very feeling. It's called Muscle Brownie and to me taste like a brownie instead of the funky grainy taste you get with other protein bars. It has 20g of protein and 340 calories. It's really filling, so I find myself eating…

I have PCOS also. I too am having a hard time losing weight (along with severe acne and I'm 31!) My gyno suggested a diet with no simple sugars. He pretty much said anything good, don't eat it. I really find that unrealistic, but I have really backed off the carbs and started really exercising. Hoping to see results soon.…
