  • I joined NutraSystem in the 1990s and lost 108 pounds. Unfortunately I didn't learn a thing and gained it back after a few years. I've tried various other diets since and a few have been what I was looking for and would loose 30-35 pounds and gain it back. Yes, NutraSystem is pricy, but worked for me then and I'm expecting…
  • When exercising my mantra is: Calories in. . . calories out. One for the kitchen is: if you bite it. . . write it.

  • That sounds like fun! I'm going to get the Zumba Core for Wii. I don't dance well, but I do like the Wii "Just Dance". I had the best time, and didn't realize I had been dancing for 20 minutes!!
  • check it out on utube. It helps to learn the moves and in your own home to see if it works for you
  • I'm in for the challenge. Some of the exercises are doubtful (due to orthopedic problems), but I will give it my best shot to do 10 minutes. :)

  • I'm a firm believer in fitbit. You can clip it on your bra, your waste band or drop it in your pocket. And, since you are a CNA, I know you have pockets. The fitbit ONE has a secure clip, and usually clip it on my bra and forget about it for hours. I don't put it on my waste band because I've had other pedometers to fall…
  • I would like to join if there's still room. I need the 12 week challenge.
  • Atlanta, GA. . . YAY DAWGS!!
  • I'm in for the challenge.
  • That's the cool thing. You don't have to. It's a good thing to eat the calories for your plan, but the exercise calories are all yours to do with as you like!
  • Reading this thread, is very comforting. Now I know I'm not alone. I have found through trial and error, that if I have something sweet, that a craving starts and that's difficult to ignore. I have also found that a strong protein for breakfast, and it's easier to avoid sugar carbohydrates the rest of the day. My husband…
  • No, I would never stop a prescribed medication without the doctor's orders! I certainly don't need cardiac issues from low K+ (that's what I was trying to avoid in the first place). I'm 54 and my dad died at 50 from an MI. I'm trying to improve my health and not go down the same path. In doing research in the past, that…
  • I'd like to be able to get the right amount and maybe come off of the prescribed supplement. The doctor put me on it because of an electrolyte imbalance. i was noticeably exhausted and tired, and mentioned it to the doctor during a check up and I was under 3+ months of lab studies and other tests because of a slightly…

  • Hi Amy! Today is day one for me. I too have diabetes and high blood pressure and I need to get them under control. One day at a time is all I can say. I find it easier to turn down food, when I have to be accountable for it. I think that's why this site will help.
  • I was reading the posts on this and I am with you. I've been struggling and made today my day 1 to start again. I went back and forth thinking should I join WW? Not to mention the cost of the monthly passes, but the time out of my day traveling back and forth. This looks so much more user friendly. I need friends who will…
