  • I'm in. My goal is 7 lbs - a little bit lofty but I am going to shoot for the stars. :)
  • I'm in! So glad I have my fitbit now so I can partake in these challenges!
  • I think my doctor definitely did. I'm on 6MP so my medication is based on my weight...therefore, he looks very closely at the numbers. Made me smile even though I have a really long way to go!
  • This is my first week posting, but I will go back and recap for ya! :) SW 260 CW 240.2 AGW 238 UGW 150 4/1 - 245.8 4/7 - 244.4 4/14 - 242.2 4/20 - 240.2 4/26 - 239.2 Smaller loss this week than I wanted but I won't complain. Really hoping to get to my April goal weight by the end of the month...only a few more days.
  • It's really so difficult. My doctor calls it the prednisone lag, for the few months after when you can't seem to shake that exhausted feeling. You also get used to eating all the time because you're always hungry.
  • Here is a book he wrote about his run-walk method: http://www.jeffgalloway.com/store/jeff-s-galloway-run-walk-run.html Also here is the app that I use when I train: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/easy-5k-with-jeff-galloway/id425601262?mt=8 When you set up the app, you can either pick 1) finish a 5k or 2) improve 5k time.…

  • Have you considered that you don't have to run the entire time? I like C25k but I prefer the Jeff Galloway method. He thinks you should "run/walk" the entire race, no matter the length. It may actually improve your time, as it does for so many people. Google it and let me know what you think. There's also the Jeff Galloway…
  • Thank you so much Laurie! My appointment went well. I'm still on a lot more medication than I want to be (Azasan 225mg, Remicade, Asacol) but to be honest, I can live with all of that if I'm feeling well and able to function. And most importantly, NO PREDNISONE. I am technically in remission but not 100% - but I can live…
  • I am we'll aware of the frustration that goes along with prednisone. I have been on and off courses of prednisone since 2006. In the beginning I was on the drug every 4-5 months. I would not lose the weight each time, sticking to my comfort foods after months of flaring. To be honest, it takes a long time. Your doctor is…
  • Thank you so much for your encouragement. I have to go find weights and I am excited to start. My poor tenant downstairs is going to think there's a earthquake! :)
  • Ok someone please help me! Is this the one we'll be doing? http://www.amazon.com/Jillian-Michaels-30-Day-Shred/dp/B00127RAJY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362083026&sr=8-1&keywords=30+day+shred Also, has anyone tried to do it with Amazon Instant Video? I want to play along but I won't have enough time to get it before tomorrow.…
  • This is so strange. I've been telling my gastro for years that whenever the weather changes I flare. It's been so steady since 2006 when I was diagnosed. The fall is always the worst for me...
  • Thanks all. (Again, not to make excuses) I have some limitations to how much "dieting" I can do. For example, I could never eat a salad as a meal, or part of a meal. I can't have raw veggies like that because of my colitis. I figure slow and steady is the way to go - but I'm afraid if I do get pregnant in the next few…
