Order some books from amazon or the library about eating disorders and food addiction and also consider a therapist. Just learn all you can about the topic so you can try to identify why you're doing it & how to stop. Good luck! You can do it :)

Same here! I pre-budget half of a protein shake of Casein protein powder (which is slow digesting), which I have like 1-2 hours after dinner. For me it's become routine now, and that really helps. Try making a schedule for your week so you are forced to do your workouts. Then, schedule your next week in advance, too. By the end of the month you'll be used to it again and perhaps it will stick for longer. I find that when I break my routine it is VERY difficult…

this never happened to me when I trained for a half, and I think it's because my new balance vibram running shoes are mesh and my toes can move all they want without rubbing against anything. could be worth checking out!

Just remember that restaurants and other people will tend to use super calorie-rich things to make the food taste good! Like oils! Key words for me when eating out: can I get that steamed, no oil, with dressing/sauce on the side?
