  • I like the taste of Coke Zero but not the taste of Pepsi Max, so if I'm going to have a caffeinated soda, it'll be Coke Zero. I am aware that artificial sweeteners are accused of having various bad side effects, but the way I look at it is that I don't have more than two in a whole week, therefore I am as much at risk of…
  • This ^^ just cracked me up!! Well done!! :D
  • A roll up in Pilates, where in the middle of it you are balanced on the shoulder-part of your upper back, with entire rest of the body from chest to feet raised straight up over your head. :D
  • Bump for later. Thank you for the link!

  • Brilliant, thank you! I will make these tonight, just a minute ago I was wondering what I was going to do with my over-ripening bananas haha.
  • Wow. I made it through 6 pages of comments, that'll do. There have been some very sensible replies along the way. Checking out the link about "in place of a road map" to help your own planning is one. Those that suggested you communicate with your husband, show him the maths, and/or politely ask him to trust that you are…
  • Seconding the comment about Subway cookies. When I have takeaway I make it Subway usually, because I can choose something relatively healthy there. Then my kids, who are likewise having a nice healthy dinner, want cookies for dessert and ever since I checked the value of them I will say flat out "no". It actually makes me…
  • LOL that scared me! I love snow peas too, had a "oh NO!" moment Yes, thank you msbunnie68 for clearing that up.
  • Personally I found Musashi P30 tasted good. I especially liked the chocolate flavour :D Tastes quite similar to Sustagen Gold. Haven't had any for ages because I've been sidelined through injury, but once my protein needs and calorie budget are back up there, I'll be slipping a couple into the trolley each week ;)
  • Chiming in with my 2 cents: This advice ^^^^ from CassieReannan is excellent advice. I found that link to be invaluable in figuring out what my goal calories should be, not to mention protein macro as well. Another thought, you mentioned it's been ice cream, cheese, and also processed meats. The first thought I had is that…
  • Awesome! Going to try this for sure. Thank you so much for posting.
  • @HeaderAutumn and others with the same wish, your wish is almost granted lol All you have to do is edit the nutritional information, confirm it, and from then on, that particular entry will appear in your "My Foods" list. If you don't go into Edit though, no it doesn't get added to your list. Once it's in your list, any…
  • I've seen so many negative remarks about Lean Cuisine in both taste and sodium levels that I'm wondering if the range we have here in Australia is different to what the Nay-sayers are reviewing. Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice Steamed, and Weight Watchers meals are something I always have a selection of in the freezer. For…
  • Sparkling water is fine, just watch the sodium. It's small, but if you are limiting your sodium intake, make sure you log the sparkling water as it will add up slowly. I love it because it's 0 calories, and when I'm craving something more than water it does the job nicely. Also, I take some with me to parties, because I…
  • I like bodyweight exercises too, the right ones will make you work really hard! But I'm shaking in laughter as I write this because I can't get out of my head the time a friend of mine was suggesting using a bag of potatoes as a kettlebell substitute.... and as she swung the bag up to demonstrate it split open, potatoes…
  • I have a desk job and drive to work, so I rated mine as sedentary, because I didn't want to assume exercise that I might not do. I then log my actual exercise, so I can see what I've done. It gives me more of a sense of achievement then. Also I do eat back the calories if I feel hungry, or most of them.
  • "Never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line!" hahaha And the one I use often (almost as often as "you keep using that word.. I do not think it means what you think it means.") :- "Life is pain, Highness! Anyone who says differently is selling something."
  • I used one of these a few years ago, got a deal on 10 sessions. Where I went, there was a series of strength exercises you were to do, I spent about 30 mins each time doing it. Honestly, you really work hard during it. Not Olympic level no, but hard even so, and yes I did get stronger. Once my 10 sessions were up I didn't…
  • HAHAHA touche. Oh I so want to add something there, but I won't. I'd need a flame retardant suit to say it. LOL
  • Seriously a few people seem to have misread the OP's point, perhaps taking the headline literally. This : and this I believe the OP's point was not that mayo alone is the root of all obesity and/or that all Americans are fat etc. He was saying that it's become so ingrained in the culture that OF COURSE you will have mayo,…
  • Gravy on chips is divine!!! Curses, now I want some. lol
  • Funny that you say that... I haven't had mine disappear (unfortunately) but I have noticed weirdnesses in the past 4 or 5 months. I get a light but constant spotting in the week leading up to TOM which I never had before, and also instead of being 28 days on the dot (as it has for years and years), it could be anywhere…
  • Absolutely yes you log them. As most other people have said, they have calories, so they have to be counted. It doesn't mean don't eat them, just make sure you log them. And if you eat a lot of fruit make sure that you can see the sugar content in the macros, because then you'll have an idea whether your fruit intake is…
  • What a difference!! You're rocking this!!
  • I've encountered something similar at work. To start with I didn't tell anyone what I was doing until they started to say things like "gosh, you look great, have you lost weight?" and even then I left it at saying "yes! thank you!". The majority of my co-workers either say nothing, or now and then say how well I'm looking,…
  • Dill works great with salmon :) I always add lemon to fish, and then maybe black pepper and dill, for instance, or fennel and cayenne (YUUUUM) I've had to try a lot of different herbs/spices because I'm watching sodium and adding salt to everything isn't helping my health goals :) Oh, with chicken, try baking it with…
  • I don't know about Splenda, but for my 2 cents, I use stevia and I'm really happy with it. I got it purely because it wasn't artificial / chemical. I wanted to get rid of the calories from putting sugar in my coffee, but wasn't ready to go to unsweetened, so bought stevia, and used that (1 calorie!!!) instead of sugar for…
  • Oh, and Vanessa Amorosi's Absolutely Everybody. Seriously, if you're making a playlist, add that one!!
