Its so different for everyone... but the thing is when you dropped the 30 lbs it didn't happen overnight, it probably happened a couple pounds at a time... so that's why you don't really "see" it. For me the best re assurance is putting on the clothes I used to wear before I lost weight. I didn't take befores or…

I have read that keeping cool during workouts helps your endurance. Fact or fiction? I dont know. But sweating profusely doesn't mean you're losing more weight... (maybe just water weight.) Personally- heat slows me down, which in turn means burning less calories. For me the heat sucks out energy that I could be using…

Statistically it is low, but if she is an athlete or otherwise healthy than she should be fine. A dr. would have a better input on that. To increase body fat % and not gain weight you would need to decrease muscle mass.... why on Earth would you wanna do that?

Wow, I thought I was the only one!!! Most ppl think I'm crazy when I say that. I don't force myself to eat, that can make me feel worse. I mean eventually you will eat... it will balance out. (my 2 cents...) I find that eating cold fruits is most tolerable for me when I feel that way though.

lookin good mama!

That and fear of trying something new.
-
Thank you! I used it, it was very helpful :D

I would say 73lbs loss is more than "a little" progress! Keep up the good work!
-
Ha! that's great! Way to go

Aside from not having windows in my office  ... When someone who also sits at a computer all day frequently shouts aloud, HOW DO YOU SPELL_________?! I get so irritated! Google that *kitten*!!!!

Took the words right outta my mouth! I'm short, not "small" which that means 5 lbs shows up verrrrrry quickly. I just want encouragement to reach "my" goal... not ppl saying, "you look fine". I'm 5'1 @ 127, I would like to be around 115. I am afraid to tell ppl this because so many ppl here judge- like our goal is…

They say 80% of it is what you eat... so if you can feed her good/healthy food than that's a HUGE start. After that maybe dropping a few pounds will get her more excited about it. When I was at my peak- the last place I wanted to be in was a gym or class around a bunch of fit ppl. I think leading by example and continuing…

Great work! :D

omg dude, you look at least 10 years younger and vibrant! Wow, congratts on your success!!

I wondered the same thing, esp when I cook with meat because it's not packaged so it doesn't come with the nutritional value on it... I just make educated guesses and hope for the best! haha I figured all people aren't the same, so neither are chickens- the values will vary no matter what. At least that's what I tell…

LOL! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought that was hilarious.

I just love you. You are such an inspiration every single day.

Yes, I do. Not everyone is so fortunate to find that person, or to find them at the right time in life... but for those who do, they are so lucky. Had I not seen this happen in real life, I might not have believed it.

And vice verse...

All very true. I used to think some of those things were true... until I got serious and realized the only thing I needed was my willpower. Everything else fell into place. Not saying it's easy by any means, but when you want it bad enough- you make it happen with the resources you have.
-
If logging in those things helps someone reach their goals why would you put it down? Do you know that for some people it's hard just to get out of bed in the morning, let alone accomplish tasks that others consider "normal"? There are people who suffer from things that you may or may never understand, don't put them down…

Revisit reminders of what you used to look like (photos & videos) or do you have any of your old clothes that are way too big now? Try them on and SEE how far you've come. If you can, make a list of all the changes you've made- from food habits to exercising habits, personality, preferences etc. Sometimes it helps to see…

^this. And if is just co-workers I would say I don't really want to get involved with it.
-
yeah Maroon 5 just made a song about it... lol

Teenage boys are no different... Hormones, it's normal. Not saying I like the idea or agree with it, but it's not shocking what so ever. What I would be concerned about is the 17 yr old's parents allowing her to date a 20 yr old. Not that its a huge difference but at that age it is risky because they don't make very good…

I always wondered the same thing... but after SEEING so many success stories from other moms on MFP i am 100% confident that it IS possible. It is not going to be an easy journey but I'd much rather do it myself since I am able bodied. I guess there is some pride involved in that also. Plus there are so many benefits of…

^This. I don't think you sound mean, it is what it is and if I had to be around food temptations all day I wouldn't like it either. I say, keep your eye on the prize.
-
Wow, crazy to see fat taking over the body from the inside...
-
^This. If it's not "normal" for him to talk that way with others than definitely so.

You mean like people who see something on Dr. Oz and come back here and post frightening, outrageous things like how diet soda is making you FAT- not everything else you consume or lack of exercise, like it's a cold hard fact. ...Yeah, I agree.
