Honest answer? I'm not male but hubby has lost about 20lbs and upon measurement ( I told him it looked bigger, he didn't believe me), he has gained about 1/2 inch.

MFP settings of 1530 (no I did not update them, ever. Day 315 and I'm still losing, just slower), occasionally cheating, eating fast food within my calorie goal and mostly walking. Edit to add: I also eat alot of cheese. And carbs. And bacon.

My hubby is doing supreme 90. Since it cycles through strength and cardio, he logs it as circuit training. I don't know how accurate it is, but he's been tracking food, too and losing so it has to be pretty close.

I confess that at this moment in time I am working on substitutions for a lower calorie chocolate glazed donut recipe. Mind you they run around 250 cals each for store bought. If it makes you feel any better, my binge today was worse than yours ( -1615 cals for me). It happens to almost everyone once in a while but as you can see by my ticker, it definitely won't hurt you much in the long run as long as you wake up tomorrow and do the best you can.
