You ask a really good question; that make each of us think. "What has worked for consistency during my successes." I agree.. meal prep for the week clear out any temptations from the house .. or all of them.. be loyal to the time of day where exercise is easy..and stick with that time. If you find a time of day where you…

I'm big into gut health now..and fermenting foods and studying about different microbes . There are certain probiotics that have been studied that do reduce visceral fat ..which is around the stomach. so? yes, you sort of CAN spot reduce. However.. the studies always mention it isn't a huge loss..but does contribute.…

I always give my voodoo advice.. to eat a cheat meal . .maybe two days in a row.. then continue on. When I was stuck in the same place years ago.. going off my plan for two weekend meals. And, yes, my loss was jumpstarted again. . I'v e done it a few times now..

It is a big deal, losing that much weight and being on your way to a more healthy you. so glad you shared.. it inspires the rest of us. Don't put yourself down because you don't look like some crazy perfect image you hold in your mind. We all do that silly thing. Bottom line, you've shed weight and are starting to realize…

wow.. so impressive. congratulations!
-
Your advice does help. Thank you. You look really good.. and don't look obese (hate that word). but you've come a long way.. congratulations on finding what worked for you.

You may be serious or this could be a joke. Either way.. you made me laugh.
-
berberine will ruin your gut microbiome if you use it for long term. fyi.
-
I find when I resist stuff like that, my willpower gets stronger each time.

You said out loud what we all have said to ourselves at one time or another. Keep moving ahead.. we all support you and can relate. Dust yourself off…and keep at it..

@csplatt …. I don't typically count calories. I go through phases when I do. Right now I am. just to check myself. I lose weight best when I follow a plan I have done my entire life that always works.. six meals a day 3 ounces protein, vegetables and .5 cup of complex carb or low sugar fruit.. I try new things … but always…

Maybe shake things up and try something different? I have been trying to lose weight by eating 15 grams of net carbs a day and going grain and sugar free. I'm still as chubby as ever. .. Maybe it is because I was encouraged to eat full fat foods on this way of eating. This is simply not working for me. It sure does for…

I, like many of you, have lost and gained the same amount of weight over and over in my lifetime. For me.. my scream weight gain is 20 to 30 pounds. I've noticed we all have our upper limit as I read posts. So..this time what does "concern" me ( instead of losing weigh to look my best and feel good).. is my acquired…

You'll hear all kinds of advice on this one... A simple way to figure it out is to not eat late at night for one week.. see if you lose more weight, or not. ( be sure to be honest with yourself and eat the same amount) see what works for you. I hear most recent advice from functional doctors to not eat late at night so the…

And I apologize if this sounds too honest or perhaps even unfriendly. I just shared what so many of us are thinking but too scared to write out loud :)
I'll say what I feel about you out loud. You are bitter because you've been through a hard time and are jealous of people who seem to have it easier. :)

I understand what the original poster means. Dieting is a positive all-consuming activity .. and when one makes goal. Yeah.. there's a feeling of "now what?" Also .. there's an adjustment; finding clothes that look good.. body dysmorphia ... friends and family saying you look sick... the list goes on and on. Being consumed…

I don't think any of us ever lost what we planned or hoped..but we were close enough. Just like you. I'm glad you decided to be proud .. you are moving ahead.. looking ahead.. that's all that matters. Congrats.

It is irritating for sure. The fitness part is going to pay off.. and the food part.. I guess you have to tweak. I'm going through the same thing. I've looked hard at what I'm doing and found a few things I can do differently. It is frustrating, because there has been effort but no pay off. Funny, how in our minds; when we…

only thing I could blab.. is a all protein diet does work and very well for a while.. the danger is a year or so in.. when the gut microbiome dies and suffers due to lack of plant based foods ( probiotics and prebiotics) that feed the good bacteria in the gut that keep immune system working. I am grain free and sugar free…

I'm not saying go on ozempic. but I do know it isn't just an appetite suppressant. It creates a biological environment for your body to shed weight. Diabetics are put on it, more because it reduces their markers...weight loss is a side benefit. My husband is on that.. he eats healthy like one would on a diet. But, for the…

what about taking on sugar free dessert making to solve your problem? There are also sugar free chocolates. There are solutions.

You should feel accomplished. You're doing great and I can tell a good difference. You've got this!
-
yup.... take d3...magnesium.. k2 and do weight bearing exercises.

You don't need the premium membership here to belong and lose weight. I suggest you "fake it till you make it." A strategy that's worked for me before. If you wait to feel motivated you could wait forever..eating, munching and gaining the entire time. So.. go through the motions ... throw out your sugar packaged processed…
-
I can't believe I'm saying this; but...if you start eating healthy non processed low carb foods as you fight your addiction.. at least you're giving your body something good as you prepare to kick your habit. Do that as you cut down on your usual sugar rush. Then.. you're gonna have to go cold turkey. You'll feel like crap…
-
First thing? Clean out your cupboards...fridge.. really your entire house of all junk and sugar foods. If it isn't there.. you won't eat it..
-
working out will make you gain false weight. Stick with it.. get a pair of your tightest jeans.. and try those on every three days.. as long as they start fitting better.. you're on the right track. The scale can kill you.
-
Just no
nope... that pretty. much works for me.. way better than counting calories ... maybe a person by person thing.
-
studies have proven that lifting heavy things.. and walking ..jumping.. build bone back ... there are weighted vests you can wear .. or walk around your house holding ten pound weights.. go for long walks.. wear 3 pound ankle weights. Increase dietary calcium.. take vitamin k2 and high doses of D3.
