Hi I'm also back to MFP after failing to manage my weight by myself. this time around it would be great to have some friends to keep me on track :)
-
I'm newly back on MFP too, after 6 months off. I think a lot of people can relate

Set yourself realistic mini goals, so you don't get too overwhelmed. Write them somewhere you can see every day. E.g. I will eat within my calorie limits this week 3 months from now my goal weight is x I will walk a total of 10 miles this month

I'm 34E and have just discover the moving comfort bras. I never thought that a non under wire would work for me, but they are great! So happy I no longer have to wear 2 sports bras. I've got the racer back, down a cup size. It's pretty hard to get on and off but worth the extra support for running.

Well done, what a great success story!

Blown my mind! i would never have thought to mix sweet things with cottage cheese. Can't wait to go home and give some of these a go!

Hi, I got mine from eBay for <$90. It's is genuine and haven't had any issues with it. These guys have a store in Australia too so you can quite easily send stuff back. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/sportmonitors/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

What is Chocolate BP 2?

Yeah give it a go. But I have recently heard that HRM usually show gross calories burned and for longer periods of a low intensity exercise you show convert this to net calories (as in the calories you burned over your Resting Metabolic Rate).…

I have the same problem with running short and like you I really don't find capris or tights flattering. So I tend to wear shorts knee length or longer and they don't tend to ride up as much. But they need to be quite tight fitting around the thigh to prevent chaffing. Good luck finding something that you feel comfortable…

I've added myself too. I have 9 weeks until my 30th and a goal of 3.5kg (to make it 10kg down this year). This is just the motivation i need :)

I read an interesting study on artificial sweeteners. They gave half the participants a regular fizzy drink and half a diet version. then measured how much both groups ate. While those who did have the diet drink did eat more, in the long run the difference was about the same number of calories that was in the regular…

Hi Ladies, I have the same problem being a 12F. I always wear 2; an underwire sports bra and a racer back crop. Have a look at this topic http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/375333-large-breast-and-sport-bra the most popular bras seem to be the Enell and shock absorbers, which I haven't found in Aus but there are…

I also usually go over my allocated sugar most days too, even just with milk and fruit and veg. But in my opinion you get more benefit from having those types of things in your diet than the sugar is bad (but i do try to limit my fruit to two pieces a day) so i just worry about the processed sugar. If you look at the sugar…

When I saw this thread title I straight away thought yeah there must be people like me out there who struggle to run on a treadmill. But now a feel a little more like a freak ;) with everyone saying that it is actually easier on a treadmill. It's not that I can't run on a treadmill but I definitely can't do the same…

What a great idea! I'm Geraldine 29 from Melbourne. I really never thought I could loose weight but have lost almost 6 kg this year. I could always do with some more supportive friends, just pop me a message with your friend request :)

I also have the FT4 - one of the women's ones (mine is pink) and find that while it is infinitely adjustable the sides of the watch strap always dig in as they are fixed to the watch face. So my advice would be to get one of the man's ones.

I just want to reiterate to start slow. So slow it's almost walking! I hadn't run consistently since high school and when I started c25k I ran at the pace i used to run and felt natural, but found it really hard. It wasn't until i used a heart rate monitor that i realised I was running far too fast. Now I'm getting used to…

Hi, another Melbournian here. i'm not new but could always do with some more motivated Aussie pals to help keep me on track :)
-
Hi fellow kiwis. I'm originally from Wellington but have been living in Melbourne for 7 years and feeling rather home sick today so thought it would be fun to get some NZ friends.
-
I'm a 12E (Australia, not sure what this converts to) and just brought 2 crops from Lorna Jane as i've heard they are really good. But tried one out yesterday and I get the uniboob, so will have to keep with one underwire sports bra with a crop on top.

i'm so impressed! and you should be too. We are all way to critical of ourselves but you should know you look amazing!

"I like to have my version of dessert! Silhouette dessert yogurt or plain vanilla yogurt with added nuts and fruit! One of my fav combinations is vanilla yogurt with a spoonful of natural crunchy peanut butter, pecans, and a little bit of granola or oatmeal. Taste like a peanut butter oatmeal cookie :)" definitely trying…
