Virgin Active $26/week $58/week PT sessions well worth it. edit: so $84 per week. I'm a student and struggle to pay for the PT sessions but I'm glad I'm doing it. my gym membership includes: 175 classes per week, pool, sauna, spa, cardio machines, and weights.

if you're getting pain in your lower back then you aren't doing it properly. fix your technique. even when I had lower back pain, I'd never get pains from holding a plank. you can do a plank get up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnh8LC8FX3g

it depends on what works for you. I don't eat before a workout because otherwise I'll be sick. But if I were just walking I'd eat before.

this!!

this! not only are you depriving your body of the fuel you need... but you will more than likely plateau by continuing to eat less than your body needs.

Yeah I hear this crap a lot. Honestly, you may never be thin. Does that mean you are doomed to be fat forever? no. You can definitely transform your body though. If you make the same consistent effort to maintain your weight as you did to lose weight, then you shouldn't gain weight. But if you go from a diet like WW back…

kettlebell swings are fun!

breakfast - 100g raw chicken breast lunch - 200g raw chicken breast dinner - 200g raw chicken breast obviously ate it with other stuff... I usually plan way better but lately I've been eating the same stuff. no wonder I'm getting bored of nutrition and my weight loss isn't as good as usual - I'm not motivated. I'd…

yep. your body doesn't think of calories the same way as your brain. you can eat them tomorrow or later during the week if you want. it shouldn't effect your weight loss.

I used to get it when I first started. Here's what I do: - don't eat 2 hours before running. - drink water whilst running. - breath properly. take deep breaths and focus on breathing especially exhaling - slow my pace down - have a good posture

I wouldn't use olive oil to cook. I use canola oil and only a little bit.
-
nope. I should though for long-term purposes.

almost puked on my trainer doing sit ups. I've seen other people puke during workouts. at least you gave it a go and learnt your lesson, always be careful!
-
if that works for you and you feel fine then it's enough.

I have scoliosis. I started working out over a year ago as recommended to deal with back pain. I started with swimming, aqua/water aerobics, water jogging, and pilates. It helped a lot with back pain and strengthening my core. When I first started I wasn't able to do things such as running because it caused a great deal of…

eat a little bit, maybe have a glass of milk or yogurt. save the rest for during the week.

I don't. I don't buy junk food though but if someone else has and I want some, I eat it. simple. I weigh it and track it. there is no need to deprive yourself of something you enjoy. depriving yourself of food you enjoy can lead to you binging and feeling ****. eating it in small quantities with good food won't make you…

Heya! I'm at UNSW doing a bachelor of social work... probably going to change to Charles Sturt though!

interval training should help. (:
-
I'm 20, feel free to add me :)

some people don't eat all their exercise calories, and save them for another day. like they look at it from a weekly perspective rather than daily. I think it's fine. I don't eat all my exercise cals back, so if I go over another day then I'm not fussed.
-
haha I can relate... I only do interval training on cardio machines because otherwise I get soooo bored. I've had a few PTs state they feel the same way!

you have to share those salt and vinegar chips with me... best chips ever

I once saw a trainer that was more interested in fulfilling his own agenda than mine. He got me to do a lot of weights and increase it quickly (I wasn't too interested in weight lifting at the time), made me do very low carb when I was a vegetarian. I never felt like he pushed me hard enough, and he was way too expensive…
-
of course! ;)

this is very true. a lot of the times the data is inaccurate, which is why I usually take it as a grain of salt and check food labels (which are said to be somewhat inaccurate as well).

strength training. get into weight lifting.
