  • Oh no! Sorry you have to deal with that. I'm vegan & my diet is typically 70% carbs 20% fat & 10% protein. So I feel like most of my shares would be higher carbs. Do you need higher protein intake in your diet because of the IR?
  • Yeah. They have a different texture, but for some it's a good alternative for a sweet treat. You should try them! But thanks for the comment!
  • Oh no! My kids love them haha. I just like them for a healthier option to serve & I enjoy them too. Sorry you had a bad experience!
  • I saw a message my last post was against some mfp rules so I reposted this thinking it was deleted. Sorry for the double post!
  • Wow. Everyone here was so excited to bash veganism that they forgot to answer your questions. So sad! I'm vegan, feel free to add and message me for support. Never understood why people against a lifestyle feel so moved to take time to argue on forums. MFP community forums should be for inspiring and supporting one…
  • Had my son 12 days ago & looking to begin my postpartum weight loss! Feel free to add me...any moms in the same boat is great! :-)
  • I am in the same area! I live in Somers.
  • Ever thought about paleo? Its similar but probably more options for you to feel more satisfied

  • Fiber or protein is not the reason for weight gain. No single macronutrient will cause weight. Weight is about calories. If your goal for the day is 1500 calories, and you eat 1500 calories made up of chocolate, twinkies, and mountain dew...you will not be gaining weight if you stay in your projected intake. Weight is more…
  • Feel free to add me! Good luck with your search though!
  • The main reason a rest day is suggested is to prevent injury, along with recovery. Although, if you are doing different things on different days that would prevent any over use injuries. If you are also able to go at a higher intensity work out & switch in lower intensity workouts then your body wouldn't be as torn &…
  • Another thought.... UP your fiber .. will feel full longer ... protein is not going to do that for you.
  • I would suggest that if you focus on your eating habits you would not need to increase or include any supplements. I am in school right now under a health and exercise degree program....I am not fully trained, but I have my hands on the pulse of the latest studies that are circulating through credited programs and such.…
  • No way! Running is definitely not enough! Cardio and strength training is needed. Cardio to build cardiovascular health which will help you lower your risk for heart dieseases, dietbetes, and other hypokinetic conditions....and strength training to support your body. When you get older, if you have poor core strength you…
  • Anything with a ton of fiber is going to be filling and keep you going for a longer period of time. Oatmeal is a great source of fiber! Super delicious & low in calories...try it out!
  • Any after workout snack you want something that is going to restore and refuel your body. They say recently (you know they...lol...ACSM) that the best after workout snack is CHO+PRO, which is any complex carbohydrate and a protein. Carb to refuel you body for the rebuilding process that it is going to have to work on, and…
  • ACSM says that people should aim for between 3-5 days of aerobic activity for about 30-60 minutes each time. They stress that having at least one day off is important for repair, and to avoid injury risk.
  • My husband and I have always thought that would be such a fun thing to do. No idea that it was in CT. Sounds great! Def. looking forward to it.

  • Why would you report such a bratty comment? Seriously, there are a lot of people who eat around 1,000 calories per day. I do and I have several people on my friend's list who do. Just because your huge and need to eat more doesn't mean that other people do. Get over yourself. Don't comment just to be rude. There are many…
  • Stretch marks fade....I've had a baby and he is 19 months old now. I used to worry about them a lot, but it doesn't bother me now because they are what they are and they will be there forever but they fade and look better with the weight loss. As far as 50 lbs weight loss and looking toned. It will happen. You just need to…
  • There is a little arrow on either side of the date if you click the one on the left side it will turn to the previous day for you to log it....and if you click the arrow on the right it will switch the date to a day ahead. Hope that helps!
