  • Yeah, which definitely makes it super scary. Once you exhibit symptoms it's already pretty advanced ... Such a sad thing.
  • Thank you for sharing your story! I'm glad you're in an informed place with doctors who can keep an eye,on you.
  • My overall goal is to maintain. I don't really stick to the calorie count on MFP sometimes way less and sometimes way more! I am not underweight but if I have a few days of under eating I am underweight. I am right at the border. I exercise when I can...not on a routine schedule though, and I don't eat those calories back…
  • Totally. Whether I'm eating, dinner with my family or not I sit down at the table though. That way I take care of the I and we. I think most people are responding just for their personal reasons they sit to a meal...because even if there is a we at the table we need to use the I's to say how only we feel about, food. But…
  • Omg! I do the same thing...but my husband calls me out on it. He will ask me "did you make this because you wanted to eat it?" ..especially since I went vegan lmao. I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
  • That's too perfect. Me too! You forget how different other parts of our own country are sometimes..but beautiful. I used to live in Kansas..now Connecticut so they're opposite ways of life but I'm glad I experienced those places for a few years.
  • Oh...I suppose you're right :( probably poorly written Sorry
  • That's a great one. I feel like rural land with animals is a common dream people bring up. Its a good one and ironic.
  • I agreed. I think I say there aren't enough hours in a day 4 times a day hahah!
  • That is so awesome! That would be so fun, and helpful, and healthy!
  • Agreed, but I meant like on a personal level. I've got two little ones myself & one of the things I would love to teach them too would be to follow a dream or an idea. One of the most amazing things a person has told me is that your children deserve to see their parents succeed and meet goals and dreams. Which I thought…
  • Yeah I thought those sounded good too! That's another great option!
  • Don't keep junk in the house is the easiest thing I could probably say, and there are a ton of healthier recipes for "junk foods" that you might be craving 1 - It will take effort to make the recipes which helps because sometimes I am craving junk, but don't feel like making a batch of healthy cookies or brownies...but 2-…
  • No I am pretty consistent. My issue is my appetite goes away with stress...so I will have a few days of being negative by 500 ish (sometimes more or less). But on normal days I will be +/- 200 calories of 1600. I think it just gets me thinking because I don't want to get in the habit of being in a huge deficit. Example…
  • That is a good point to make. On days I am super low calories I should do this to remain constant.
  • That is interesting to me. I typically do too, but tend to go through periods where I wouldn't feel hungry until maybe 3 or 4 p.m. and then it throws off my calories!
  • That is a great plan to start. SMART goals (Small, Measurable, Attainable, Reasonable, and Timed) Many people have the tendency to start big, and set themselves up for failure if it is not a reasonable routine to include in their lives. Great start! Sounds awesome!
  • It definitely has an adjustment period when you introduce a new way of eating or a new product. Time and water I would think are going to be your best friends. Also, keep your fiber intake up so that will eventually help your body out a tremendous amount. I also don't know much about Shakeology...but if it is a high Whey…
  • Hummus & veggies (carrots especially) are my favorite snack. Or if I am on the go I also like nature valley bars. Bananas with peanut butter...apples with peanut butter....peanut butter...lmao (I may be slightly obsessed)
  • I like the deficit, and I feel like your body knows best. When you are hungry, and you need more food...EAT! I love being able to know what I burn, my average sleep...x.y..z...but sometimes we get so stuck on internet/electronics that we forget how to listen to our bodies. Maybe this is just me, because I had issues for a…
  • Typically people will complete their diaries for the day, and there will be a link to view their diary on the news feed in your profile main page.
  • 1. Are you getting a calorie deficit? 2. Are you working out? I would suggest lifting weighs versus cardio, because it seems as though you are suggesting that you are losing weight but remaining the same shape (not toning up). Correct me if I am reading your post wrong though. 3. I would suggest more whole foods in your…
  • I think healthy is relative to whatever research you and I have done. I think we all have different versions of healthy lifestyles. I do not attempt to eat the minimum. As I have said time and time again. I eat when I am hungry, I eat what I want. It happens to be about 40 g protein on average. I don't wake up in the…
  • That is a great point! Touche. I feel like to be seriously under-proteined (if that is a real term?) you have to have an eating disorder. Many of the people who have ever suffered severely or died from a protein deficiency I would assume would have to be malnourished and lacking severe calories. Protein is in everything.…
  • About 8 or 9 months I believe. Maybe more. I don't have any significant changes in my hair, skin, or nails at all. I have had hypothyroidism (started medication in high school) for a really long time now...which has given me issues with hair and nails...but I haven't noticed anything different once I began eating more…
  • I'm not worried about calculating for exercise. As long as I get the minimum I am happy. I'm sure people live differently but that is fine too. I'm not standing on the edge of a bridge ... I will be ok, but I am grateful for all of the concern. It works well for me, and as many of you have provided around 40 is a…
  • THANK YOU! That is perfect! 115*.36 = 41.4 B)
  • ::claps hands:: BRAVO! Thank you. I think I am missing that something too.
  • I weigh in the morning every day and I fluctuate about 2 lbs. I know they say it is better to weigh once a week or every other week for a more accurate reading since daily fluctuations can be extreme sometimes depending upon what is going on. Try not to feel too much pressure from the few lbs. Sometimes it does get to my…
