  • Thank you for posting but I think I'm in slooow mode today and not getting it. Were the numbers you multiplied by part of a formula? In the eating back the exercise calories were you meaning I would add on whatever calories mfp says I burn after exercising? I love doing strength training so I'm happy to incorporate that.…
  • Hi! How long have you been vegan? I'm still relatively new but I love it.
  • Oh, and workouts...I am working at figuring out when to fit them in. I tend to do a cardio video about three times a week, hot yoga when I can. I'm supposed to start a boot camp class tomorrow night depending on the weather.
  • Thanks. It said 1632 calories per day. Does that mean I should be increasing my calories even more?? Yikes! I have cut out bread, pasta and rice. I didn't eat much of them but I know they make it tough. I don't know if I'll totally cut out starchy vegetables but I certainly can moderate them. I'm very open to feedback…
  • Thanks! I definitely feel better on more calories so hopefully I'll see great results. It seems like it's working for you!
  • Well V, it worked! I'm down three from yesterday. I'm sure some of it's swelling from the wicked witch but it's awfully nice to see things going in the right direction!
  • Thanks! Truthfully I don't find it all that easy to be vegan but LOTS of health stuff cleared up when I transitiioned. Apparently I'm pretty sensitive to inflammation and being vegan eliminates most inflammatory foods. I started getting regular migraines at age 9, I'm 35 now and they've largely stopped since I switched…
  • ROCK STAR!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi! Well done to keep b-feeding! I nursed both of my kids until 2 years and it was such a good thing for all of us! ITA with GingerB. :) We're all dairy free in my house. When we had to take my son off dairy at age 2 he was devastated because he loved yogurt. They've finally started selling So Delicious coconut milk yogurt…
  • I'm excited to be hear. I'm Amy and I've been strictly vegetarian for one year, mostly vegan for the last several months. I feel so much better. I've had migraines since I was 9 (I'm 35 now). I usually had anywhere from 2-6 in a month. In January I stayed strictly vegan and have only had dairy a few times since then.…
  • Love this thread! :) I think I've always known this would be the direction for me but never really had the confidence to stand up to all of those questions (or the textbook knowledge to back up what I've known intuitively since I was a kid). I can recall being very young and being given permission to walk in a separate…
  • I tend to make at least one smoothie a day too. I like the Vega Shake 'n go if I'm in a hurry. They blend well and taste good. It's great because my kids are both primarily vegetarian too so starting off their day with coconut milk, Vega and some frozen fruit gives them loads of sustainable energy. Most fruits and…
  • Hi! Have you tried the So Delicious Coconut Milk yogurt? I like it waaaaay better than soy yogurt.
