Click on "Finish Diary" right after breakfast, it'll give you a crazy unrealistic number. It's there for motivation only, don't focus on the number, but focus on maintaining the progress!

You're young, your skin will likely rebound easier than it would be in your later years! Drink plenty of water and have some patience. Keep up your routine and it'll go away. I really liked Stronglifts 5x5 as a lifting routine. I found the structure of it was very motivating on its own. Good luck!

How does your weight compare to sodium intake? Does highest weight coincide with highest sodium? I know for me, if I go over 2500mg, regardless of calories, I'm almost guaranteed to find an extra pound of water weight the next day.

I use salsa. Low calorie, adds extra vitamins too!

Evaporated Cane Juice ;)

All of them.

Can you bike commute to work? Replace that stressful, unhealthy, costly car commute with some exercise!

Last week I saw a guy curling ~75lbs in the squat rack....with a spotter. We have 5 racks at my gym and it wasn't busy, but the mere sight of that blew my mind.

In the mobile MFP app, go to "more" on the bottom right, and select "steps". Change your device to "don't track steps" and select the back arrow at top left. Select "steps" again and select Fitbit. It'll force a sync, and that solution has been working for me for a couple weeks.

No I don't think it does

I'm loving mine so far, and I don't log any extra exercise on top of what the Fitbit says.

My diet "coach' says: "If you're feeling hungry, picture eating a plate of vegetables (raw or steamed, no seasoning or sauce). If that truly sounds appetizing, you're probably hungry."

There's no way your max heart rate was 243, so the average on your vivofit is likely skewed by "max" spikes in the unreasonable range. At your age, a 100% max effort heart rate would be ~193.

I just ordered a Charge HR from Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow! I've been waiting anxiously for these to be available. I'm also using my work wellness incentive payout (only $200!) to pay for it.

It's just there to mess with your head. Don't take it seriously. It might make for a fun experiment, but I wouldn't stress about it one bit.

Add chia last!

Please send me $5, then have a nice glass of tap water. It'll have the same effect. Your wallet will be lighter, and you'll gain some hydration.
-
I've been at this a while, but finally getting into the groove and ready to make it stick! Add me if you like!

The pretzel crust pizza from Little Caesars was a huge disappointment.

Everything you already eat! Just less of it.

I like OrGain from Costco http://www.costco.com/Orgain-Organic-Chocolate-Protein-Powder---2.74-lbs.product.100121465.html

Throw some almonds, milk, greek yogurt, fruit, and protein powder in a blender. Blend. Drink. Enjoy.

Spend some time on the Stronglifts website. There's a lot of good videos explaining the movements and form. Use the smartphone app to track your workouts, as it does all the math and timing for you. As a newcomer to lifting myself, I've found the program pretty enjoyable, which makes it easier to stick to.

Everyone working out at the gym has the same goal. Change. They want to lose weight, they want to bulk up, they want to tone here or there. Everyone's personal goals are different, but the desire for results is the one thing they have in common. Go in, do your thing, bust your *kitten*, strive for results, and I guarantee…

I like the Zone Perfect bars. They don't have sucralose and can be had for about 75 cents each at Costco. Only 12-14g of protein though.
-
Follow the program. If you want to do more, try it twice a day!
-
I think I just drooled a little bit.
-
Salsa! Adds extra veggies, tons of flavor, and very few calories.

With proper form and saddle height, it shouldn't be hard on your knees at all. If you're feeling pain while riding, talk to the instructor.

If it's a once a week occurrence, then just save up 700 calories for the week by eating 100 calories less per day. You won't be denying yourself real food on a daily basis. This is what I'm doing this week, as I'm going to a beerfest this weekend!
